It's true—Everton has made it clear that despite the money they spent, they're not a threat to leave that seventh place.

We'll at least be in the Europa League again next year, but I still don't see any chance that we're playing in Europe on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Arsenal is playing an away match at the Emirates. Koln supporters have TAKEN IT OVER.

Finishing in the top 6 for a bazillion years makes us a top 6 side, despite spending less.

I need me some Jack for this game.

Just finished the match from earlier. Mostly positive I'd say.

          - The Ospina clearance that allowed the goal was abysmal. Fluke, I'd say.

          - Kolasinac is a beast. Wow what a player.

          - Mertesacker is slow yes--but man, with a back 3, he is very serviceable in the middle. Such sound positioning.

          - That Sanchez goal was bananas. What a strike.

          - Wilshere appeared very timid; perhaps understandable?

          - Holding. Wow. What has happened to him? He has been ABYSMAL in EVERY match I've seen him play this year. Perhaps back 3 just doesn't suit him...

          - Walcott. G2G. Not sure much needs adding here...

Great finish, but only possible by an awful error, and the score at half didn't really put the game into perspective. I still worry about the future of our keeper situation. Cech is getting older, and Ospina just doesn't seem to be our future first choice.

            - Holding. Wow. What has happened to him? He has been ABYSMAL in EVERY match I've seen him play this year. Perhaps back 3 just doesn't suit him...
I think it's important to remember that everyone has bad patches, and he's in one now. The only way he'll improve as a young defender is to play, and when he plays he'll make mistakes. I hope he keeps getting chances in the cup competitions.

I agree, he's in the same situation as John Stones (not comparing them). He made silly errors when he first joined City and the media were quick to criticize him to no end. The only way you get better is to keep playing them, not dropping them completely from the match day squad. Stones is getting better and better and Holding will too if Wenger plays him regularly. He's still only 21.

Holding probably should have gone on loan to a decent team this season or last. He's a great prospect but he's being thrust into a team playing like *** with a lot of exposure and asked to be adaptable in a way he probably isn't capable of yet.

The main difference between him and Stones, is that Stones was playing in the Prem. Also, Stones is and was way better than Holding. Stones was legitimately one of the best CBs in the league at 19, and his ball-playing abilities are on another level.

Teams like Arsenal should use the loan system a bit better tbh. When it comes to integrating youth into the first team, Arsenal has plenty of history of that, so sending players out on loan shouldn't be as much of a negative as it is for a club like Chelsea.

We seem to mostly use it as the second option if we can't sell a player. That, or to send young players out which we know will never get a shot int the first team.

My best guess is it's because he played the full 90 on Thursday.

Alexis not ready to start, even though he started on Thursday.

Just be honest, Arsene, instead of talking to everyone like they're an idiot.

Draw with Chelsea is better result for Arsenal that I expected but Sanchez has to start since he is without a doubt their best player and always gives 100% when he plays. WTF is going on with that crazy Frenchman?

I don't know. It looked to me like Wenger got it right. Iwobi and Ramsey looked really good together. Xhaka made a few mistakes but overall not so lost out there. They looked like a team for once instead of a bunch of individuals. If Lacazette finishes like he normally does, Arsenal could've rolled Chelsea away.

As far as Sanchez is concerned sometimes you gotta earn your place, regardless of your talent level. He alienated his teammates trying to force a move and to me, doesn't deserve first choice until his teammates fully embrace him. Plus if he leaves in January, wouldn't you like to see how your team can perform without him?

I can say that Sanchez seemed pretty vested on the sidelines from the cuts shots.

Sanchez always looks like he's giving 100%, but there's definitely a defensive phase of the game he oftentimes doesn't take part in.
