He screwed us today. Missed a clear goal and stood on the edge of the box like a statue on the Cleverly goal.

I still think Wenger is the problem and needs to go. He has lost the plot.

That's more assists/opportunities created than Silva, De Bruyne, Mata, Hazard, Eriksen, Sigurdsson etc. Most of those players have been in England longer too.

This Tim Stillman piece perfectly sums up Ozil:

We've got a big 3 of creators in the Premier League: KDB, Eriksen and Ozil. Some stats since KDB joined the league 2015/2016:

He creates more chances per minute than both KDB and Eriksen but ends up last in assists per minute. That's what happens when you've been playing with players like Giroud, Walcott and Welbeck. Opposed to Kane and Aguero. People need to stop expecting Ozil to be anything or anyone other than Mesut Ozil. He's not here to muscle players off the ball or score 20 goals a season. He's here to create and he has done so ever since he's joined us.

Wenger being stupid doesn't help him either. I don't know why you would sub in Ozil, only to take off Lacazette for someone who doesn't have the ability to make splitting runs. In the first half, Lacazette was busy making the right runs, but none of Iwobi, Xhaka, Elneny or Welbeck even noticed it. Ozil is the man you need for that and that is why he's here.

I do agree that Wenger doesn’t help the situation, hence why he needs to go.

        Yeah, enough is enough.

On Iwobi: I like him, he has a very pleasing style especially on his touches. If he can keep improving he might be the guy who reaches the potential people always thought Ox and Walcott had. Playing Özil doesn't necessarily mean Iwobi goes bench. They can perfectly co-exist behind Lacazette when we don't have Sanchez. They seem to mesh well together too. Iwobi gifted Ozil the goal chance and vice versa.

All three Iwobi, Ozil and Bellerin missed chances that should have been goals with Ozil's being the worst one. We have screwed ourselves again today. There used to be a time a season or two ago where we could paper over the cracks but nowadays the paper falls straight off and we don't even appear to be good anymore.

If you could theoretically trade Ozil for KDB or Eriksen would you?

Would be madness not to take KDB right now, so yeah. Although, I wonder how he'd do at Arsenal. Eriksen, no, but that might be because he's a tottenham player, I feel Ozil and Eriksen are very alike but Ozil to me seems like a slightly better creator.

For reference, Özil is my computer background, and I would 100% trade him for either of those 2 players. I'd even throw in some cash to seal the deal. Not even close.

Nail on the head mate. When I saw the sheet of Elneny and Xhaka in the middle and Welbz too I thought, ugh, where's the offense coming from? 29 and 35 need not be pairs together IMO. No creativity. Got to have Ramsey or Özil in there if/when needing goals.

Iwobi and Bellerin were brilliant on the right side. Welbeck completely took Kolasinac out of the game, whereas he looks wonderful with Sanchez (who wouldn't).

These players are given EXORBITANT wages. Can we please explain WTH they're being rested FOR????

FINALLY get to see 7, 9, and 11 play together. Baffles me that we haven't until now...

I LOVE this lineup and bet we smoke them...

The quality is immediately noticeable. The front three going forward already look incredibly dangerous.

But then we're down 1-0 hahahahaha of course. Was there any doubt that Rooney would score today?

Playing the best football in ages on offence but Xhaka's like forgetaboutit. Ozil looks like a man on a mission.

I thought that was an obvious foul on Xhaka by Ghana leading up to the goal but the ref was so far out of position.
