All I want is a clean sheet—I don't even care if its 0-0 at this point.

I remember when Auba coming in had people thinking that meant Lacazette would be leaving. Right, because having depth is awful. So glad he's there.

        What. A. Goal.

This officiating is MLS-level suspect. Yikes.

Unbelievable finish. Nobody in the world is saving that.

Over the years, I'm sure I've made it clear how little I value this competition, that being said, I'd love to see Leno, Smith-Rowe, Nketiah, Willock, Osei-Tutu, and/or Bramall get some game time. I assume Leno will, the rest I want to see in a competitive game.

On the injury front, I imagine Sokratis and Mkhi will be held out after their minor injuries against Vorskla, Jenkinson(he's still here!) is back in full training, Kolasinac is back in full training, Maitland-Niles is apparently looking to resume full training at the beginning of October, Koscielny is training again, aiming for a full training return in November, and Mavropanos picked up a groin injury that will keep him out for four weeks. Without going into a full youth movement side, I would've liked to have seen Mavropanos/Holding as a centreback pairing to see how they operate together, alas, it wasn't meant to be.

                  Leno
                  Lichtsteiner/Holding/Mustafi/Monreal
                  Elneny/Guendouzi
                  Mkhitaryan/Smith-Rowe/Iwobi
                  Welbeck

                  B: Martinez/Bellerin/Ramsey/Lacazette/Torreira/Kolasinac/Nketiah

Getting Leno/Smith-Rowe/Nketiah isn't bad out of the people I wanted to play, even if Nketiah is unlikely to make it off the bench.

Marcondes seems to be still injured so he won't be suiting up, and Dalsgaard is on the bench, so my favored Brentford players won't be showing up today. Former Arsenal youth Nico Yennaris will be starting for Brentford today though.

No penalty and the weakest yellow i've seen this season.... sigh.

Currently non-reputable sources, but it appears as though we've tabled our offer for Ramsey, and are set to move on without him.

Has been reported by Ornstein now, so it's seeming likely—although, it always was at this point.

I'm fine with it, actually. There's no way we're offering him less than he's worth, and while he's dynamic as hell, I'm fine with bringing in someone else who can fit better into what Emery wants to do.

I'm guessing Aaron made up his mind long ago that unless he got a certain wage (possibly crazy) he would leave. This never seemed like a negotiation between two parties who both wanted the same thing, for the player to stay, and I put that mostly in the player's camp.

Actually, it appears there was an offer that both sides agreed to, but then the club withdrew it.

Hmmmm—I'm too worn out to have thoughts on that right now.

Impossible to know the details, not super interested in the speculation. I appreciate everything Ramsey's done for the club and will respect him if he chooses to leave. Decisions like this aren't easy on either side.

Also, I'd love to see Ramsey go somewhere and thrive like Ox and Walcott have been doing.

Do other clubs have this contract "drama" year in and year out?

Good grief it must be SUCH a distraction and I am so sick of hearing about it with someone new every year.
