We also need to figure out what exact style of player we're going after, as both of our current fullbacks are attacking fullbacks. Defensive like-for-like replacements shouldn't he hard to come by, and even Cohen Bramall and Jordi Osei-Tutu can fill in if need be. .

Neither have made it through a full season. A respectable 3rd option is necessary IMO. If (when) one of those two get injured, who fills in? Mustafi? Yikes.

Don't be silly, Mustafi can't play for Arsenal if he's registered elsewhere in Europe.

      You silly goose.

Everytime I try to drum up the excitement or anguish for Arsenal related matters I get reminded that Kroenke is our owner and I just become numb instead.

It's getting harder and harder to actually feel like we're part of the top 6 when our owner so very clearly doesn't care, I want to root against Spurs, and I will, but even if they win, the only people feeling any pain will be the supporters, Kroenke won't care, he'll never care, and that's the reality we live in.

What's frightening is how unlikely it is that he'll sell in the future. The Usmanov bid was massive, and it was turned down.

            This; times a million.

I don’t understand why, if he doesn’t care about the club, he doesn’t just sell it and be out from under it.

The only way to truly get his attention is for us to stop filling his pockets via tickets, gear, etc. problem is that we actually love the club, and won’t do it (enough to influence, that is).

I see it reported we will have a £45M summer budget. I feel like that’s what a West Ham or Everton type club should have. If that truly is the budget, we will be forced to completely overhaul the squad to drum up funds for a PROPER rebuild.

It's a massive financial investment which he can borrow against if needed. It's nothing more than a huge piece of his portfolio.

I don't think he'd even care if the club were not in European competition, as the television contract money is more than enough to keep him and his investment happy.

Yeah it's about money. It was never about Arsenal. I have faith in the staff to do what they can with what they are provided but the more i look at our situation the more i think we are getting closer to the bottom 14 the top 5.

Jose Antonio Reyes, a member of the Invincibles and a Europa League winner with Sevilla and Unai Emery has died after a traffic collision at 35.

I mean I don’t hate it. I think Xhaka should stay. That’s the only thing that stands out to me at quick glance..

Edit: oh, and Iwobi can go.

Lmao at Kos and Xhaka leaving. Kos would get very little on an open market and no one we brought in would be 1/2 the defender he is. I imagine more want him out due to age, but Kos is a valuable player.

Xhaka was one of our best players going forward this past year, if we are getting 60-70m for him, sure sell him, but he seems perfect in the withdrawn attacking midfielder role.

Lichtsteiner has officially left the club.

Apparently the fans will get what they want as its reported Kos was offered to Inter, though Inter rejected any interest in him.

                          Who knows

Emery set out to rebuild the defense, which makes sense. Monreal, Kos, Chambers, and Mustafi are set to be the casualties of the rebuild.

I think Monreal stays; perhaps already has like a 1 year deal in place.

Otherwise I feel they would’ve included him in the tribute to Ramsey and Cech.

Perhaps that’s reading into things too much, but no denying it makes sense...
