The Saliba deal looks to be done, but will be loaned back for the entire season.

I love the long-term planning, but we need someone in that position now as well.

We can not start or have Mustafi sitting on our bench as an option. We can not.

I'm so ready for our attack to have Smith-Rowe and Nelson in it.

I'm really, really hoping that the immediate announcement following Copa America means he's getting to work right now, and trying to get as much as done possible. Then he can take a vacation after the window closes, come back and prepare for January and next Summer.

            Save us, Edu.

Might be the clubs most important signing in quite some time if you think about it.

Ornstein is making me happy in his latest article.

In regards to the Saliba signing:
"Arsenal remain in the market for a player to come straight into the first-team squad in the same position."

Yes, yes, yes, because we need it.

                In regards to other signings:
"Arsenal are also pursuing Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, 22, and additionally hope to recruit a central midfielder and winger."

A glimmer of hope—save us, Edu.

So Koscielny has refused to tour to the US. Make of that what you will.

Maybe he has an offer from France and their refusing to let him go.

                      Surprised Koscielny would do this.

Shocking stuff from Kos. I assumed he would see out his contract and move on a free at the end of next season. I know there is interest from France for his services, but he can't seriously be mad Arsenal won't let him go for free.

                        Really disappointed in this.

Seems that there had been talks in the past about him leaving and now he’s not being allowed to, but only because clubs are only interested for him on a free.

Insanity. Someone can give us a few million for him and be done with it. We can’t release him from his contract, I appreciate the club coming out with the blunt statement and saying refusing.

The only way I’m on his side is if the club had already told him they’d release him so he could talk with clubs of his choice, and now they’ve backed out in that as it would mean we actually have to spend money for an immediate replacement.

I assumed the club allowed him to negotiate, but I doubt they told him they'd release him on a free. If Bordeaux or whomever cant cough up a few million for him, **** em both.

So who’s gonna be the new captain? Bellerin? Auba? Lacazette? Holding?

Don’t really like any of those choices. Of those you listed, I like the idea of a young CB.

I feel they will go with Xhaka. He’s a hard@$$, so I’d be ok with that. Would also put a vote in for Sokratis—but his age likely prevents that.

Don’t worry boys, I’ll talk some sense into them when I see them next week in Charlotte [emoji51]
