I still think he needs time. Give him this full season under Arteta. Apparently, Arteta worked closely with Mahrez when he moved to City, and helped him adapt his game. What Mahrez did at Leicester City didn't fit into what he did at Man City.

It's amazing that Gabriel is only 22. Fantastic signing.

It’s early, but I think a win is seriously needed today after failing to grab a point against either Liverpool and City.

Not going to be easy, and I’m sure Vardy start, which means I’m frightened of Luiz making a massive mistake.

Definitely need a win to keep up, and keep momentum.

Today should be first glimpse into the “real” 11 with TP18.

          Can’t wait.

If he doesn’t start...I’ll be so disappointed. I’ve never seen a club the size of Arsenal in England who always ease their massive new signings in as much as they do.

He started on Thursday and Arteta said something along the lines of ghat he looks ready, so yes, put him in and let him control the midfield.

Yeah it’s very bizarre. Especially this one. I mean he was exceptional at a very successful Madrid side.

No need to put on training wheels. He’s 27 and seasoned. Let’s go.

While I do wish he started against City, at least he started on Thursday. If he starts today, I have no complaints regarding excessive easing him into the squad. I expect he'll start today, but Mikel often seems to give us at least one surprise.

I’m by far Arteta out but that was awful stuff at home.

                    Awful.

I don’t understand how they are SO poor going forward. With that talent.

It sucks that it’s not even remotely fun to watch.

Today’s “climate” absolutely sucks. And to have the escapism of football being equally trash—just adds to insult.

I think there was rightly such a strong focus on the structure and defense from the start that we now need to catch up in terms of chance creation.

The positive—we focused on structure and defense and actually improved at it. That never even happened with Emery.

There was something...something small today, but we need way more. We were doing okay, but losing Luiz and Saka sank us.

I think these are fair points. What is concerning is how “critical” certain individuals seem to be.

When Tierney has been out before, it’s a disaster—and when Luiz went out today we went completely flat. The first half I think we had 12 shots! Talk about an improvement!

I thought Luiz was excellent today. Breaking up plays pushing high, and of course his usual long balls were brilliant.

I know they’re still getting used to Partey and moving to a 4-3-3, but man you’d think the quality would be able to break down a less than full strength Leicester side.

Still baffling as to why your goal was chalked off. They deemed Xhaka to be impeding Schmeichel but the camera angle from behind the goal clearly shows he isn't even in his eyeline.

It's very, very frustrating as if that goal stands the entire "Leicester City's plan worked so well" goes out the entire window as giving up an early goal completely throws their plan out the window.

Also, their plan was incredibly thwarted in the first half. Tielmans was given no space, always closed down or marked very closely. He was identified as the threat, and was neutralized. But for some reason in the second half, we stopped doing that and allowed him more space—which lead to a goal.

I know it sounds absurd to not give the opposition credit, but everything about that match was Arsenal allowing Leicester City to win. Their attack was beyond poor in the first half and for most of the game.

Their goal comes because we started to allow Tielmans to have space, and when he did get the ball we pushed up instead of dropping back to stop his forward pass. Vardy got a free run at goal because Gabriel had to vacate his space to help Xhaka who had been beaten, but before he vacated that space he told Mustafi to cover it five full seconds before Vardy was into it.

I could run into the sapce Vardy did and head that goal in. I'd break a leg and pull muscles celebrating, but there was nothing special about it—Arsenal gave it to them.

That's why it's frustrating. Liverpool beat us. Man City beat us. We gave Leicester City three points when they showed up playing for one point at most. It came down to their injuries, but still, they would've been thrilled to leave with a point given the way they set up, but we handed the the match.

There's a story about Mustafi rejecting a contract extension from Arsenal, or even a latest contract extension.

Before anyone goes insane, it's obviously to avoid losing him on a free in the Summer.

Okay, back to anger from yesterday.
