David Luiz is an interesting choice of a signing not a bad gamble for 8Mil though.

From the Daily Mail just now:

Alex Iwobi's move to Everton has been agreed. The fee is believed to be between £35m-£40m.

Time will tell if a deal sheet was sent in before the deadline.

I wouldn't consider it any more of a gamble than any other transfer at this point. At least we know what we're getting, and for only £8m.

I've criticised him here a million times, and everywhere else a million times, I said earlier in the off-season I wouldn't mind if he left, and that I think he would be better for leaving as I think his skillset would fit in with another team more than it does with Arsenal.

It's not the end of the window—there's still plenty of time for a deal to get done. He's never been linked with a move in the league, so it's not surprising he's still there. Luiz's arrival only furthers the possibility that Mustafi leaves.

Yeah it was meant more of a joke as the above would also apply to my feelings on Alex Iwobi, minus that I actually have a soft spot for Iwobi.

I know, a just trying to not talk about the Iwobi thing...because it bums me out a bit. Seeing pictures of him as a kid at the club...damn.

It’s best for both sides, though, and I’m glad we were able to bring money in and hope things work out for him.

So no Ozil or Kolasinac for game one, Pepe, Tierney, Lacazette to be game-time decisions, and unsure on the fitness of Ceballos and Torreira.

We are going to be RAZOR THIN this weekend.

I’m really sort of surprised they let Nelson go on loan.

If Auba or Laca are unfit (see: this weekend), that leaves only one striker? Unless you count Martinelli I guess...but he most definitely is not ready yet.

We really only have 5 TOTAL defenders fit or “ready” (AMN, Sokratis, Chambers, Mustafi, Monreal).

Will be an interesting team sheet this weekend, to say the least.
