We could easily draw, or lose vs Palace, and very easily lose against both Wolves and Leicester.

Southampton and Norwich...hey, we can win one of those.

Brighton...yeah, they'll be organized as hell and put up a real fight.

    Yay.

      ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***

This year for the first time Champions League match days sneak up on me, as there’s zero way to tie them to Arsenal.

      Bums me out.

Must be what Spurs felt for a long, long time.

The real questions are going to be asked when we put up 3+ on Vitoria. Can’t tell me the quality gap is that much between Sheffield.

          My thoughts exactly.

The cycle will only continue as many who play Thursday won’t be “fit” for palace at the weekend.

          Insanely frustrating.

Never thought I'd see the day where Arsenal fans would be talking about a stretch like that as being tough.

Faith in the manager goes a long way, and arguably Emery is the manage I've had the least faith in at any point of supporting any of my favorite football teams. We're all frustrated because we know we have the talent to be confident against these sides, but we don't have a plan that instills confidence.

It's part of this weird reversal we've done over the last few years. I feel a bit better with Emery going into matches against big sides, as I know we'll sit, without creativity, and accept the draw.

The issue is that we're not good enough to even do that, so we may not even get a draw, and at that point, I'd rather see us actually play instead of doing nothing.

But against smaller sides, he's so passive and truly treats us like we're full of midtable mediocre talent that we're never even set up to trounce anyone like we would years ago.

In a way, we might do better against big sides, but we're doing worse against small sides and to me that's a recipe for missing out on the top four. We have to beat the teams we should—but we're currently incapable of doing that.

As for today, apparently Bellerin, Tierney, Holding, and Lacazette are starting.

This means our Europa League squad will be better than the one we put out against Palace on Sunday.

I'd love for this to not be true.

It now seems inevitable the back four on Sunday is Kola, Luiz, Sokratis, Chambers—again.

The one I'm most surprised about is Laca. I assumed he'd come on late, but a bit surprised to see him starting. Might just mean he's the first off, though.

Yeah, this is the kind of stretch where you'd count on Wenger getting at least 5 wins to solidify your place in the standings. It was like clockwork.

I don't mind them starting today, but I would hope we'd run it back in the league after the Sheffield disaster class.

I’d be shocked if any of them started in the next league game.

I'm glad Torreira gets a start, at least.

I'm expecting him to look fantastic and further make his lack of league appearances odd.
