What are your thoughts on the Maddison rumors?

If they want to pay what it'll cost, I'd love that move. He creates, which we desperately needs, and he also has goals in him. It would cost a lot, and he may never retain that value, although being 24 and English helps, but I'd still be all for it as a signing.

I don't think it happens, though. We've offered something like 4–5 players for Leicester City to select from + cash and they had zero interest in any of the players.

Alternatively, I'd also be thrilled to see them use the money they'd give Leicester City to make several signings which in the future would bring in large fees. You know, what Leicester City would do with all the money we'd give them.

Oh yeah, I’d take Ødegaard over Maddison and it seems Arsenal have been waiting because that’s who they want and it still seems possible.

I'm wondering how cautious they'll be with Saka in terms of physically bringing him back—would love to see it, though.

While no European football does hurt, I do like that it will allow players such as him and ESR to continue to develop while not playing too many games.

I thought I was going to be able to watch live today, but I think I'll be a few hours behind. Bummer.

I'd love a win today, but I'd also settle for a draw just due to my low expectations of the season. What I don't think will happen is Brentford playing us off the park, which I head an entire podcast of pundits predict.

An Ødegaard return is starting to actually feel possible. Would love that. Best signing I think we could make in that position. I hope it can get done quickly, though, as we could really use him as soon as possible. Fingers crossed it can get done.

Edit: Okay, there's a ton of smoke here...maybe fire. Seems like it could move quickly, which would be great.

I think it Brentford draw Arsenal, regardless of how the teams look, the narrative will certainly be how Brentford nearly ran Arsenal out of the stadium.

Sigh. Not going anywhere with Arteta in charge, and that’s due to his decisions. He wanted Xhaka to stay, he thinks Chambers is fine at RB, he tells players to lob crosses into the box, he tells them to play at a snails pace.

I’m not saying we do much with KSE owning the club, but I’m sick of watching the entire team play like they’re Xhaka.

How the **** did we finish as high as 8th the last two seasons? Seriously—how were we not even lower?

This club is terrible right now.

Oh yeah, White is a poor defender. He can pick a pass but did not a damn thing to impress as a central defender. Put him in the midfield, I guess. Beyond better on the ball than “Should be in Italy” Xhaka.
