It seems entirely up the air, honestly. Last report I saw that I'd trust said Arsenal were not happy with what Leicester City wanted given that he had one year left of his contract. Which I love—finally doing to other clubs what has been done to us for years.

They let it get to this point—you can't extract maximum value when it's not there.

That blunder had been coming—Gabriel has been a bit off the entire season.

Leno can’t control a box off of those we knew that. He went for it and missed.

Also, why no ESR? Surely he could have went or for either Saka or Martinelli

He was always great at shot stopping, but his aerial issues were certainly one of the drains he lost his spot.

I assume still struggling with some kind of fitness issue? Maybe picked up something when he played with the kids and they want to be safe?

Still can't believe we made 'Average Premier League Midfielder Martin Odegaard™' the club captain.

                Shameful.

Man I am still BUZZING. I love this club so much.

So many thoughts from today. KT3 was my fave for a long time, but missing Zinchenko today was a huge miss. Completely changed our dynamic. KT doesn’t want to play inside, and it really seemed to throw things off. Thought Martinelli was much less sharpe without Zinchenko behind him.

Also think Saka has been off all season. Just hasn’t really seemed to be able to get going. I feel he likely would be better with Tomiyasu behind him.

4 wins from 4. Over the moon.

                    Few random things:

After going back, and I also thought this at the time, while Gabriel absolutely has to do better with his several touches, he should not have been put in that position. That pass shouldn't have been made to him, and if he were to have had Partey or Zinchenko there to receive, I can't help but wonder if he would've gotten rid of it faster.

If Partey is injured, the immediate replacement being Elneny frightens me.

I'm worried that if we don't make two more signings (wide right and midfielder) we're going to be in serious trouble, especially in October (the fixtures are brutal).

I'm loving what the club is doing and the squad right now, but I still think we're realistically in an absolute dogfight for fourth and unless we make two more signings we could yet again miss out.

Viera is left footed. Is he able to play on the RW, or do they intend for him to be Ø’s immediate backup?

I wouldn’t be shocked to see a deadline day deal for Tielemans. Surely Leicester won’t allow him to run down his contract and leave on a free. I am glad we are playing hardball, and don’t cave in to their demands.

Lastly, Lokonga. I love this kid and would love to see him get more time. He seems very composed on the ball despite his lack of experience. Could he not slot in as Partey backup and eventual full time replacement?

Lastly (part 2), I see Zaha’s name flying around (once again). He plays on the left, correct? Not sure why he would be a target?

Aaaand Elneny has a significant injury. Someone is stepping up or getting signed.

Yeah that needs to be addressed.

It's honestly the one major, major criticism I have of our squad building the last few years. I get it, it's not easy to find a Partey replacement but we've ignored that area for too long and he's proven he's not capable of continuous starts and minutes like Xhaka, for example.

I'd rather see us add a midfielder rather than a wide forward now if we can only do one. Give Marquinhos minutes on the right, or Viera, but we need something in midfield now.

                              Nice 2-0 win.

Yes, I'm disallowing the goal because you can't actually back into, reach around, and hold onto a keeper on a corner. Absurdity.

I can here this morning to see if anyone had comments on that.

Could not believe they didn’t disallow that goal.

Also, saw this from Adrian Clarke yesterday..

                                “2
                                1
                                8
                                3

The number of minutes it took Arsenal to score after conceding each of their four goals this season.”

                                Man that is incredible.
