He’s made some mistakes this season (as has Saliba) but it’s still great to see Big Gabi sign a new deal.

I know some people expressed trepidation, but it really just feels like a no brainer. Tie up Saliba, Saka, and Gabriel Matinelli now.Support Local Sports

Wow, I wrote semester instead of season, as my head is about to explode after multiple rounds of interviewing new full-time instructors at work...thank goodness it's the weekend.Comment

I'd also like to use this opportunity to express my absolute...bewilderment and anyone who thinks Tierney should be surprised he isn't being given a ton of minutes. Cedric just came on to replace Tomi, and I already know people are like but why not Tierney?!
You mean the lad who has never proven he can stay fit when given consistent minutes? He's consistently been starting on Thursdays, and if there's a player who should not be playing twice a week in this squad, it's Tierney.
The entire discussion around it is baffling to me. He's getting minutes, and he's not being thrown out there twice a week, which he's proven he can not handle. I don't understand why it's even a discussion, but I know Arsenal supporters seem entirely confused by the idea of depth in a squad.Comment

I’m happy Reiss Nelson got a brace. Hopefully that an get him going.
That reminded me on when Wenger was in charger and you just knew there were more goals coming.
While Jesus hasn’t scored in a bit, he got 2 assists which was nice to see.

I'd be far more concerned if we relied on Jesus for goals and someone like Martinelli wasn't stepping up, also.
Happy for Reiss—I'd love to see him stick around.Comment

Still don't think we're title contenders. Even if we win against Wolves and go into the break on top, the world cup and that break could change everything. Who comes back injured? What deals get worked on during that time?
We very much have top-four in our sights, but that's all I'm comfortable saying for now. City are the only true title contender right now. We still don't have the depth, and are incredibly unproven.Last edited by Krebstar; 11-06-2022, 12:23 PM.Comment

I am still in awe every time I see Xhaka out on the pitch. Man's playing out of his mind right now, and two years ago, myself a fervent Xhaka supporter even, would've sold him for a bag of chips. Incredible turnaround for him.
I think my favorite part of this team is that it's fun to watch again. Winning cures all no matter what, but the way we played at Chelsea, if we had lost, I still wouldn't have minded getting up at 5am on vacation to watch them play.Support Local Sports
