Outside of that complete good from Cedric, they’ve looked alright.
Nobody stands out as overly good or poor honestly.
Too slow in the build up, per usual.

The fouling that Villa are getting away with is why decisions like the one against Wolves hurt so much. Reputations, deserved or not play too big of a role. If Xhaka was on Villa he may have been sent off by now.
I’d like to see Ødegaard on at the half, maybe for ESR. We need passes to get through the lines and we need to stop wasting chances. Not that ESR is doing that, but he makes the most sense to remove right now.Comment

There were several times where Pepe was through but the pass wasn’t made. He’s getting in position, but they need to find him where we most dangerous, and we’re not. When Laca just kept running with the ball head down and then played a **** pass out to Saka instead of putting Pepe through I lost it.Comment

Joking aside, he's barely been given the ball anyway. He was in space quite a few times and Pepe either shot or passed it back to the horrendous Cedric and the chance was gone.

One early mistake did us in, but we also never did what we could with the chances we had, or could've created. Too slow a few times, especially against a Villa side who you can get at once you bypass their press. Really disappointing.
We're terrible attacking corners—it's just wasted chance after wasted chance. We're 9th in accurate corner passes taken, and have the second most in-accurate corner passes.
Full week now before we face Leeds, where three points is an absolute must.Comment

Sure am glad we brought in a left footed LB to back up the fragile KT3.
Arteta was more worried about a LF CB than securing a backup LF LB.
OK—ramblings....
They weren’t awful today, but man I just never (ok, RARELY) feel dangerous in the final 3rd.
I can’t figure out where Pepe is best and/or most threatening. I will say, I’m not sure I’ve seen a more ONE footed player. Good night.
Ødegaard looked good for the most part. Obviously still acclimating, but put in some very well weighted passes.
Partey hopefully is nothing serious, and ESR I thought was unusually poor.

It was mentioned during the match yesterday that Arsenal were told Ceballos would cost €22m. As for Ødegaard—my hope is that we finish high enough and he enjoys the squad and club enough that he wants to stay, and we get him for something not insane, but we'll see.Comment
