So the club now have multiple people I have signed on past FM games, so really this is my Arsenal squad, and their failure is my failure.

I know it's unlikely...but I'd love to see Odegaard start if he's fit. Hell, I'll take an appearance.
Now I also must decide if I want to type Øodegaard, or Odegaard each time...the Ø is fairly simple, and looks great, but I gave up on Özil long ago, in more ways than one, ha.Comment

He's been put out there a few other times, but I think mostly for brief appearances as a substitute. It certainly turns him into a different threat, as on the right everyone knew if you stopped him from cutting in he was useless.Comment

It’s the first time I can remember him playing on the left and yeah he looked quite good.

I’d say that’s the different between him and Saka on the left. Saka has an above average at the worst right foot, where Pepe’s is non-existent.

Yesterday I was thinking about how proud Freddie must be of him. I wish he was still there working with the youngsters, but I know he was inevitably going to move on.Comment

Since Boxing Day, we're only behind Man City on points (each played six games)—18 to 16, next closest is 14. We're fourth in xPTS.
Man City have conceded once, we've only conceded twice. They've scored 17, we've scored 14 (we're alone in second for both of those).
We're third in xG, but 8th in xGA.
Now, in the six matches before Boxing Day...
We took two points, only Sheffield United were worse. We were 11th in xPTS, so underperforming, but still awful.
We had scored three goals—worst in the league, and conceded 8. We were 16th in xG, but fourth in xGA—our defense had been playing well consistently, huge credit to Arteta.
Basically...it's an insane turnaround in terms of the six matches before Boxing Day compared to the six since. Second-worst in points to second-best.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
I was wondering this earlier, so I looked up the numbers (as I can't help but do). I had a hunch that perhaps we have the lowest percentage of goals allowed come via set pieces—I was close.
10% of the goals we've conceded have come from a set piece, but West Ham has the lowest at 8.33%, but hey, we've conceded four less goals than them in total.Comment

Oh, some more? We current rank best in fouls per game, averaging 9.3/game, but we rank 10th with 29 yellow cards. Liverpool are best, only receiving 20 yellow cards, even though they've committed 9 more fouls than we have.
We're currently the sixth most fouled team.Comment
