That story just made my day. It appears as if Arsene is serious about buying a keeper.

I'm not getting my hopes up about Buffon, but that would be fantastic.
I don't see us having any chance of getting Buffon. As I doubt Wenger has any interest of paying the ridiculous transfer fee that would be required to get him.

If I had my choice on who Arsenal should get, I would choose Lloris. With Neuer being my backup plan.

At this point, almost anyone would be better than what we currently have.

I would love Lloris, but any of the mentioned names would work, although I think Buffon would cost WAY to much.

Lloris could be realistic given Lyon have had a bad season notwithstanding its fluky CL run....I have him on my FM team now and he rocks

I think we should just bring David Seaman back. He couldn't be any worse than the clowns we have now.

We all expected this, but it's nice to know it's official or damn close to it. I think he'll be a solid addition and add some experience that we are sorely lacking. We have talented kids, but experience is what we need more of

I'm really excited to see him paired with RVP. Hopefully he can add some physical play up front that we're sorely lacking.

Given Chamakh's aerial prowess, perhaps Arsene will make him a CB.

Anxious to see how many starts Chamakh gets. And, when he does start, what role RVP will play..?

Van Persie will get injured the second week of the season so it won't matter.

I was thinking this to myself earlier, when pondering how it will effect Bendtner. Then, I realized RVP will get injured, and then at least we'll have two tall forwards and we can play 4-4-2.

I remember reading an article about Chamakh that stated he was capable and comfortable playing in a right forward/winger role if necessary. If Arsene sticks with the same 4-3-3 system, his versatility -- if it was accurate --could give them some interesting options up front with Arshavin/RVP/Chamakh (with fluid positions I'd think) and Nasri/Bentdner/Walcott as second choice.

And this is assuming Rosicky misses 3/4 of the season, Eduardo continues to struggle to return to pre-injury form, and Vela is shown the door...

I dont think Vela will be shown the door, I think he will have a great WC and Wenger will be forced to keep him.**

**That is of course if Vela stays healthy in the run up to the WC.

I hope he has a great WC, as that will just raise the price for that underachiever. The guy has shown absolutely nothing to merit staying at this club. Him, Eduardo, and Silvestre should be sent packing this Summer, no questions asked.

I love Eduardo, but the guy is done.

Agree on all fronts. And apparently we've been linked with Shaun Wright-Phillips, but I hope not. Another small player is exactly what we need.
