Sounds like we are pretty much done with our window, with apparently Fekir a mildly plausible but somewhat unlikely possibility.

After that it will just be players getting sold and loaned out the rest of August, hopefully Michy isn't one of them.

Imo we just keep him and let Morata and Michy battle it out. Tell them whoever has the better season gets the spot or something like that.

Sounds like we have been in contact with Bilbao and Kepa since the beginning of July, and the only reason he wasn’t signed was the club waiting to see what Courtois would do.

So in the end, not a panic buy like everyone has been saying.

Crazy, almost like the board of the most successful English club of the last decade AREN’T a bunch of bumbling amateurs.

That would also explain why they didn't actually make any kind of bid for Alisson, who Liverpool were apparently in contact about for quite a while as well.

Again, I wish I could get paid to literally make things up and pass them off as transfer stories.

Speaking of that, are there any reliable Chelsea guys saying that Fekir rejected a move there? There was a little bit of rumbling that the clubs had agreed to something.

Wow I'm surprised by the Michy loan. Guess that means Tammy is staying? I'm a big fan of Morata and believe he'll come around but having Michy for competition would have been preferred.

He's gonna tear it up in the Spanish League

So you guys are only going to have two strikers again this season? Morata and Giroud.

Purely speculation but I wonder if Sarri has any plans to use Hazard in the striker role similar to Mertens. They're similar in stature and quickness. Obviously Eden is better out wide and we don't have a ton of depth at wing but that just crossed my mind.

I recall Hazard not enjoying his role as a CF last season.

Obviously remains to be seen if Sarri plays the exact same setup, but in the 4-3-3 Hazard would be in Insigne’s position.

Yeah I think Mertens played there intimately out of necessity because Milik couldn’t stay healthy rather than some grand plan by Sarri but then he started bagging goals although last year he hit a bad dry spell.

I’m ok with Morata/Giroud/Hazard as our #9’s because it gives us more of a chance to see HOI on the left although I’d imagine Willian would slot in there and Pedro on the right.

Lmao I love Hazard, sometimes it seems like he’s one of us as a professional athlete.

Kante was in the WC final and has already played 90 minutes twice looking pretty close to peak fitness. Hazard has only come on as an 80th minute sub in two games and looks like he’s been double-fisting cheeseburgers all summer (because he has).

I hope he never leaves us ever.

And the second he comes on, despite the Dad bod, he’s instantly our best player. He’s inching closer to Drogba territory as my favorite ever and that makes me a little sad.

Morata actually had a pretty good game today. You could see the relief when he scored, and he looked like he was on a mission after the goal.

Really happy for him, hopefully this is what he needed.

Happy with the win but some really sloppy play in the back there. Arsenal kept doing the same thing over and over and we couldn't adjust. Fortunately their finishing was worse than our defensive coverage.

Also I think Jorginho and Kante need to switch roles in the midfield. Luiz I thought was terrible at times. Rudiger was up and down.

However, Pedro has been great so far to start the season. With that, I'll take the 6 and bring on Newcastle.
