So we finally had a small amount of "news". It sounds like there actually IS a possibility of getting the ban suspended this summer. Also, apparently there is a chance we can get it reduced if we start the ban this summer. Then lastly, there is apparently still a chance we will get hit with an additional transfer window ban as a penalty for frivolous appeal or whatever.

If the ban is inevitable, and there is at least a reasonable chance of getting it reduced, then I think we will just start serving it this summer. Also think that makes it more likely Frank comes in, although Fifield and Law both said that Frank is the most likely to happen of all the managers we are linked with.

So now it looks like everything is all but official. Top tier Italian sources reporting we've agreed a decent fee with Juve, which was always going to happen with Marina involved anyway.

Our board definitely gets plenty wrong, but Marina definitely does not.

Anyway, sad to see Sarri go, think it could have worked out eventually but not many managers will pass up Juve + Ronaldo.

On the plus side, if we do go ahead and start serving our transfer ban, and finish sorting out our manager situation in the next few days, we have basically the rest of the summer off from transfer rumors.

Always a silver lining amirite?

Well Sarri gone officially, which was obviously expected.

Wish it could have worked out but it seems like he was always going to use us as a stepping stone to one of the big boys.

Just hope we can get this all settled in the next week so we can have an actual pre-season this summer.

Kovacic official now.

The only signing we could have made, so that's a plus. Sounds like Ruben will be out for quite some time, so Kovacic was always going to be a necessity.

If we stick with the midfield 3, then I'd guess we are looking at Jorginho/Kante/Kova, with Barkley and Mount rotating in?

Will be interesting to see, because Kova really hasn't offered much going forward so far, if he is playing the furthest forward of the 3 he will have to step it up a lot. Barkley/Mount would be much better in that role unless Kova starts picking things up.

Also I think we might see a different side of Barkley this season. His play last season was pretty bland but it really seemed like he was following instructions from Sarri, none of his play last season was even remotely similar to his normal style.

Yeah I realize there is a reason for the Chelsea manager sacking memes but there’s zero chance Lampard gets sacked this season unless we get relegated or something.

Tbh it was pretty overblown to begin with. The last actual bad one was Carlo.
