When I saw the UCL group, I immediately thought we got lucky. We'll see how it goes but I have to believe we can advance from Group H.

Yeah I think KG is right tbh, none of those teams are at full strength and we have enough experienced players to take advantage of that.

Another Jekyll and Hyde game... Especially since we could have killed the game off with a 3rd goal. Also not sure about Tomori in this game. I see the reason for the start but him and Zouma are completely not linked up and it showed a few times in this game. That or Zouma was just always a millisecond behind when he was needed. Also like against Norich, I feel when teams decide they are going to score on us, they walk the ball in and boom.

2-0 up at home, international break coming up so it hurts to only take 1 point away from this one boys. Clouds some of the good that happened in this game like another Tammy brace who I feel should have not been subbed off. Also Gilmour in a 2-1 game where we were struggling should have not been brought on. He has a lot of promise but this was not the situation to bring him on.

Good news is we have an international break now and for once I am happy we do despite the lack of league play. It gives Pulisic 2 weeks to find himself, Lampard to work on our defensive issues and more healing time for CHO, Kante, James and Pedro.

Yeah a lot of questions to be asked of Frank after that match.

Agree on Gilmore, this wasn’t the time to bring him on and if you’re going to take off Tammy do it for Giroud so we can have an outlet. Ive been over Michu my for some time now. He’s just not very good IMO.

I thought Tomori and Zouma were generally fine but Azpi, man he’s having an Ivanovic like drop off at defending but he’s actually out in some quality crosses since Brahv called him out.

Just a cacophony of errors on that last goal. Dave not blocking the cross. Tomori watching it go by and Zouma a half sec too late.

Also, can we please stop with the Barkley experiment because Mount isn’t a wide player in attack. He’s great defensively though at pressing anywhere but he isn’t pacey enough to play wide at this level.

Also sucks that Kova picked up a little knock late and then got sent home from international duty meaning our training staff is getting some quality OT.

Oh well, it’s still early and United is a dumpster, Arsenal still have sorting out to do and Spurs backline looks bad. 3-7 is there for the taking, just need to get healthy and figure out the right balance. I don’t think Jorginho is a bad player at all but he’s such a liability when we get caught out.

Tbh I think Jorginho has been one of our best players so far.

Also think Tomori showed a lot of promise overall, maybe even more than Zouma.

His tackling is def improved and I love his feisty ness but when we’re throwing numbers forward he’s so easily dribbled around and it’s a numbers game with Zouma/AC/Tomori.

His positioning in possession is great but sometimes I wish he would increase the pass speed slider because his passes have no weight on ‘em.

Huge match for us coming out of the break with Wolves.

I think that might be more of a formation thing, we push so many people forward that our midfield is just completely empty and really easy to bypass. Jorginho often seems to be the only player in the middle of the park, which probably makes him look worse than he is.

Obviously with Kante back this probably won't happen as much.

I think I’m gonna order one. Love the color way but yeah Alt, I’m not too sure about the collar.

The version of that with a blue instead of orange looks way better, but yeah somebody definitely thought they were getting a promotion with that collar idea.

So I was playing a little bit of Master League in PES with Chelsea. Everyone is healthy in this and I was trying to set my formation and XI. I think most of the first 13 plus 3 are fairly obvious but the competition for the last few spots is going to be tough. One of the wingers (Pedro, Pulisic, CHO, Willian), one of the FBs (Emerson, Alonso, Dave, Reece). Most likely Alonso there as Dave can play CB in a pinch and Alonso isn't really defensively inclined and Emerson gives you all of what Alonso has attacking bar free kicks. One of the midfielders (Mount, Kante, JOrginho, Kova, RLC, Barkley. Hell, probably two.

It's a good problem to have but damn that's a tough decision for Frank.

You should give FM a try KG, then you would have a problem. I decided to try a summer Chelsea FM save and currently on year 5 and some interesting things. Mason Mount has turned into a beast. Hopefully the real future holds this.

On a side note, I'm ready for some CHO action today from the office.

huh, the last time i played as chelsea in fm, all the players left on frees and i spent the budget on a bang-average player from crawley town, crazy how fm can be different for everyone
