Yeah, the whole straight-to-DVD thing told me that I shouldn't bother. 5 bucks is worth the buy for the original.

Another good footie film I have that is a good one to check out is called "All In The Game". It stars Ray Winstone and Danny Dyer who stars in the Real Football Factories. All In The game - Corruption, money, power - the not so beautiful game.

Had to check for a minute, it's just known as "Green Street" over here.

Little bit exaggerated, but still a good film.

Green Street, what a terrible movie, at least for all the wanna-be "hooligans" it caused. SMH.

With how much the English have worked to remove the "hooligan" tag from their football supporters, that doesn't surprise me in the least. I would agree that in this day and age the movie is definitely exaggerated. While I'm sure isolated incidents of this type of thing still happens in England, it's nothing like heyday of the 80's.

If anyone is looking for a real insight into the old underbelly of the English "hooligan" culture, I highly recommend the book "Among the Thugs" by Bill Buford.

There is also a good documentary on Youtube that I think was produced by the BBC about Hooliganism over there. Not sure what its called but its two parts on youtube. Just use the search feature, it was very good, if you are interested in that stuff.

When Barry Glendenning is not on Football Weekly, I get very upset.
