this was absolutely my personal experience.
in fact, my last post in this thread,
from 25 months ago:

I only knew a few player's names in the sport, when I was a kid growing up and Maradona's name was right up there with Pele as probably the top two players I was most aware

Nowhere else to put this but Liverpool is goofy as hell and sends out their offer letters for the new season in Nov/Dec instead of March like everyone else.

We haven’t signed ours yet cause you also have to make a deposit and it’s Christmas time.

Anyway, they are terrified we are leaving the club (we definitely aren’t and have given no indication we are) and currently have given me a price reduction twice, which I wasn’t even aware was something they do (they also have the highest fees of any club and don’t do scholarships).

If I keep holding out they are gonna end up letting her play for free lmao.

They’re also paying for our hotel for the Vegas tournament in January.

And Tim is still cackling in a corner somewhere.

Game ended 2-1 but the 1 was an absolute gift from the ref. Girl got hit in the face and he called a penalty cause he thought they weren’t allowed to head the ball still (they are) but even still it would have been bogus cause an accidental header is just a drop ball.

Anyway, wholesale domination from start to finish.
