I came up with Juan Mata. What are some other guys, that for at least right now seem to have it all together and are also good at the sport.
De Bruyne. He’s like a giant Belgian teddy bear.

Damn, was hoping that was a video of Neur dribbling around, getting disposed, and conceding a goal.

Outrageous sums of money like that earned by Mino Raiola in Paul Pogba’s 2016 transfer to Manchester United could soon be a thing of the past

The pessimist in me is saying they will find a way around it, but it’s good news nonetheless.

Messi gets number 6, though if everyone was honest with themselves and people weren't tired of him winning it, should be closer to like number 9.

Absolute jokes that VVD had a legit chance to beat him, even bigger jokes that Ronaldo still somehow made the top 3. Lewy at 8 to round out the clown fiesta.

I mean Ronaldo did have 43 goals in like ~50 matches for club and country that calendar year.

I don’t mind VVD being on there. Crucial to Liverpool and the Dutch National team resurgence.

The bigger joke was de Ligt beating Mbappe for the young player award.

                      42 goals in 48 matches.

                      Frenkie > de Ligt

Oh I have no problem with VVD being 2nd, just have a problem that he nearly won it even though it’s clear as day that Messi was once again the best. At least 2 of the ones Ronaldo won probably should have gone to Messi as well.

Ronaldo just isn’t playing at his normal level currently, and Mané was definitely better this year. Either way though, it should have been Lewandowski in the top 3 but journalists never seem to remember him for whatever reason.

Also Mbappe is amazing but he plays in a subpar league for a team that usually wins it comfortably with double digit margins. I do think FDJ should have won over de Ligt though.

By Lewa's standards, the beginning of the calendar year didn't go so great for him, including getting knocked out of the first round of the CL without scoring a goal in either game. He shouldn't have been as low as 8th, but he also wasn't top 3 over the entire period this is supposed to cover.

True, though his whole team was awful so that wasn’t entirely his fault.

Similar to Jordi Alba tbh. Easily the best LB last season, was having an amazing year and then one bad game at Anfield and everyone promptly forgot everything else.

Maybe you could still have Mané ahead of Lewy, that’s fair, but I don’t think he should be lower than 4th.

Also worth pointing out that the last one Ronaldo won was largely based on his August-November performances.

On current form, Lewa is the best player in the world, and I don't think it's very close. He's simply unplayable at the moment.

I mean look at his game logs. Just insane. https://www.transfermarkt.us/robert-.../0?saison=2019
