Re: MLS Discussion Thread
Minnesota becomes the first team to beat Portland on the road opening weekend. Great 2nd half.
New striker, Luis Amarilla (who said he's going to score 25 goals this season), looks like he's a handful to play against. And he scored a goal, so 24 to go!Comment

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
Amarilla now with 23 to go, Lod is off the mark, and MNUFC wins 5-2. I know it's early but 8-3 in two away games to start the season is a glorious start.Support Local Sports

ESPN pulling out all the stops to deliver a unique viewing experience:
"Cameras mounted on drones and booms. “Super-slo-mo” replays. Virtual stands, signs and jumbotrons. An array of microphones dotting the field and even embedded in the pitch itself.
And no faux crowd noise."
"Among the innovations on MLS is Back broadcasts will feature is a 300' x 600' screen wall on which TV viewers will be able to see stats and graphics."

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
Have they announced what happens to group B now that FC Dallas has COVID'd themselves out of the tournament? And is the same thing happening to Nashville??The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
"One possible realignment solution would be to move Nashville SC from Group A to Group B, where Dallas was drawn with Seattle, Vancouver and San Jose. Group A has six teams while all others had four. Nashville began the season in the Western Conference, but was moved into the East for the duration of 2020 when the tournament was announced last month. The expansion team could theoretically be moved back into the West and into Group B without compromising Group A. Of course, Nashville is dealing with a run of positive tests of its own, with sources telling The Athletic on Sunday that the team had one player confirmed as positive and four others who were presumed positive pending confirmation."
If Nashville does drop out, at least it will allow an even 24-team tournament with all groups having four teams. Chicago would look the most likely to shift into the West & Group B to replace Dallas, but that's just conjecture on my part.Comment

TFC-DC United game this morning postponed due to a rumoured positive test and another inconclusive test. This tourney wasn't the best idea.Comment

A Sporting KC player has also tested positive twice since entering the "bubble" but he's simply being quarantined and their game is scheduled to go ahead as scheduled tonight.
I would have thought if one player has COVID-19, the others on his team in his bubble would be at risk to get it but I'm no doctor.Comment
