Was just thinking. When MN played Toronto in a friendly, Giovinco scored two goals right away then stopped trying. He might score 6 against us.Comment

Watching Jonathan Osorio miss a golden chance or two every game by firing 20 feet over the net is a habit I'd like to break as a TFC fan. He's just infuriating.Comment

That's more like it. 4-2 Minnesota. Actually looked like a competent team.Comment

Came back from 2-0 down at halftime at Houston to gain a 2-2 draw.

Starting to put together some competent performances. Next goal: Allow fewer than 2 goals in a match.

Also, Christian Ramirez is one of the best US strikers in the league, and Bruce Arena should probably be keeping an eye on him.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 04-17-2017, 09:09 AM.Comment

 Re: MLS Discussion Thread

I thought bringing Ramirez with was a great touch by Minnesota United, and something that was a great PR move for their first MLS year. Figured he'd get a couple starts, couple sub appearances and then fade off after 1 or 2 years, and well, it turns out he's a better striker than even I had pegged him for, especially if he keeps banging them in and getting into position as well as he does.Came back from 2-0 down at halftime at Houston to gain a 2-2 draw.

 Re: MLS Discussion Thread

He has scored tons of goals at literally every level he's been at, so I always thought he was one of maybe 2-3 from the NASL side that would make it. That number is down because I really think Ibarra is just what he is and there's not going to be much improvement there.Comment

As is tradition, I talk him down, and Ibarra scores the only goal in a 1-0 win. A clean sheet! I saw it live with my own two eyes.Comment

I was there, too! Going back this Saturday!

The clean sheet was encouraging, going into the game we hadn't gone an entire half all season workout conceding.
