Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread

what did you guys think of Altidore's Sunderland debut? i can't be the only one who watched. I thought he was solid, maybe slightly better than solid, didn't really get any service in the box but he did well holding up the ball and looked very lively a couple times. seemed exhausted though as i'm sure he was after wednesday.

He and Hangeland had a good battle going all game

Agreed. Though he also tried a couple audacious shots from deep early on. Understandable after the match he had on Wednesday. Heat check!

I'm going to give it a few matches, and unless I hate the way they play, I'm going to choose Tottenham as my EPL team to root for.

Thank God for DVR, because I think they kick off in like 3 hours, haha. Excited to actually watch them play a full game in real life. I've used them extensively in FIFA and FM so I feel like I already know the team inside and out!

Saddens me a little bit to see how well Ross Barkley played for Everton yesterday. We had him on loan at Leeds for a few games and our then manager Neil Warnock just didn't play him correctly and then sent him back to Everton with the reason being "He (Moyes) wants him to play and I couldn't guarantee him that".

          Facepalm.

I fear that he's going to have trouble getting service there all year long. Outside of Sessegnon no one can really scare a defense. I think he was great at holding up play and winning some FKs.

Chelsea should win this league, and I think they're going to have it wrapped up with a couple weeks to spare. Best team and best manger in the league.

I don't see what was so impressive about Chelsea that we are crowning them after 2 days. They beat a team there were expected to win against and that's it. Let's wait until they face some competent teams.

Quality depth at all positions, best manager. I'm just saying I'll see it as a failure if they don't win it.

Would love to see us go after our record points total of 95 this year. The ball movement was a beautiful sight to see and it will only get better. Going to be a fun year.

1st half was very impressive but they kind of let their foot off the gas and allowed Hull to get some confidence in the 2nd half.

Still, that first-half was just dominant, especially considering we were w/o our best player.
