Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread

I picked Spurs as my team to root for in the EPL partly because I thought they seemed similar to the Vikings in the sense that people laugh at them for choking in big spots. Seems like I made the right choice!

I enjoy seeing Manchester United down in seventh. It probably won't last, but I like seeing such as Stoke ahead of them.

I don't start paying much attention to the table until Christmas. 4 games in 9/10 days over the holiday period usually separate the men from the boys.

Yeah I read somewhere that the table doesn't exist until the first of the year.

I realize every year is different, but without one team running away with the whole thing, is there a general rule of thumb for how far back you can be in December/January and still have a realistic chance at the title?

You can be a decent ways back as long as your name is Chelsea, Manchester United or Manchester City

So I was scrolling thru my facebook news food, and since I liked Wayne Rooney's official page, he decided to post pictures of his head injury which some have described as "something you only see in movies." Jeezus ****!

I'd be surprised if he's even in the lineup against Crystal Palace.

I thought it was confirmed he was out for several weeks.

City was 8 points out of 1st place with 6 matches left in 2012.

And as Arsenal, we had a big lead on United only to choke it all away after Eduardo has his ankle wrecked Basically, if you're close in March/April, you have a chance. Spurs at one point had a 7 point lead on us only to fritter it away lol

Luckily, Arsenal and Spurs supporters don't have to stress themselves out over silly things like challenging for the title

Hahaha. We'll see. It's not like your team went out and signed some past their prime and over the hill strikers because they couldn't land Shrek....oh wait.
