Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread
Moyes leaves A LOT to be desired tactically. At Everton he had small squads so playing a regular 11 was fairly easy. Now that he has to juggle lineups you see some weaknesses in his tactics. Take this weekend for example, Fulham parked the bus from the start allowing United a lions share of possession. Ok, nothing out of the ordinary for a club in the relegation drop zone traveling to what was once a fortress. United's gameplan seemed to be sending in crosses and to the wingers/fullbacks/Mata's credit they were delivering some quality crosses but they were targeting Rooney who's good for his size but you have Chicharito on the bench. He then waits until the 70th minute to bring him on, after Januzaj whose best strength is taking on defenders but isn't yet adept at finding pockets of space.
Fulham literally had 3-4 quality attacks and scored on 2, should have been 3 but Richardson couldn't even hit the target.
As much as I like Mata he isn't what United needs/needed. They already have Kagawa, Januzaj, and Rooney to play behind the ST not to mention Welbeck who can slot in there. United has needed midfield help for a while now and with Vidic saying he's leaving they're going to need another CB, if not 2 considering how much Moyes doesn't favor Rio.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens if United don't make the CL or if they even finish outside of the Europa.Comment

Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread
There seems to be no link up play between Wayne Rooney & RVP. In the Stoke game RVP passed to Rooney 3 times. All 3 were from the kick-off (restarts). In the Fulham game Wayne Rooney attempted 2 passes to RVP, one from kick-off. Their tactics seem to be to get the ball out wide and cross the ball in time and time again. They had a record 81 crosses in the box against Fulham.Comment

Oh Chelsea...... truth be told, I totally saw this coming.
Tomorrow: Moyes wins against a top 6 side and help ruin their chances of lifting a trophy for the first time in 10 yrsLast edited by Kai Flame; 02-11-2014, 08:06 PM.Manchester United Fan ~~ Real Madrid Supporter ~~ Juventus Supporter ~~ AS Roma SupporterComment

West Brom have now taken points from Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham, and Liverpool.

Just seen this on the BBC:
Manchester City's game against Sunderland has been called off because conditions are deemed unsafe, with a red warning for wind in place for the North West.Comment

Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread
We're not used to as strong as winds as this in the UK. I live about an hour away from Manchester with mountains/hills in between and the wind is probably the strongest I've ever experienced. There's a lot of roads being closed and people are being advised not to travel, so I'm not too surprised that there are games being called off.Comment
