Still, it must be said. City's titles thus far have not been "definitively" won. One on GD, another on final day results.

Okay, enough objectivity. This season never happened.

I'll give you the goal difference, but you're really going to try and diminish this year due to them winning it on the final day?

Really, the last one was more than just goal difference, it was also them struggling to beat a relegated side, at home (also on the final day). That is the one I shake my head at, but not this year. They did the job that nobody else could do.

They deserve it on merit. They could've owned the race much sooner but kept slipping up (like Liverpool eventually did).

I'm merely pointing out that for all that "might," they've yet to actually play favorites. And that's a good thing.

****ing finally. I'm not sure if I put it on here, but I couldn't honestly root for Villa while Lerner was still the owner. His pathetic sale of talented players and not reinvesting it into the team was a slap in a face to the fans, and ultimately was his downfall.

I hope the new owner keeps Lambert, as I think he's building something great, and they better invest a lot of money...because Benteke is basically play 1 on 11.

United's treble winning team is generally considered to be pretty ok and that team only won the league by a point. Carlo's Chelsea set the still standing premier league goal record and only won by a point as well.

You don't have to walk the league in order to be considered a "mighty" team.

Oh, that Chelsea title team who won with this goal? And to think we could've won 5 straight titles.

78 min: OUTRAGEOUSLY OFFSIDE GOAL!!! Manchester United 0-2 Chelsea. Chelsea have done nothing all half, and now this. Kalou finds some space in the United area, 30 yards out. He shapes to shoot, but instead rolls a clever ball through the United back line down the inside-right channel for Drogba, who hammers an unstoppable shot into the top-right corner. Van der Sar was near it, but had no chance to stop it. However, Drogba was a good couple of yards offside. It's not quite Jeff Astle territory, but it was a terrible decision.
And again, my point is that thus far, City has needed other clubs to slip up and have yet to actually strangle a title race.

Treble winning team is merely OKAY? OKAY then.

By your standards, yes, it would merely be OKAY, since they didn't "strangle" the title race that year.

                        Tim Sherwood has been sacked.

The word surprising doesn't really come to mind.

Who cares about strangling a title race. Winning the title is the only thing that matters and no one who supports the winning side care if it was done by 1 point, GD, etc... Also, my Chelsea were the one's who really slipped up but Citeh was the most consistent side against top-half & bottom-half clubs where as Arsenal-United-Liverpool (in that order) were were the best at taking points off the bottom-half. Citeh/Chelsea - Liverpool were the best against the top-half as well.

This season was such a stupid one for Spurs. AVB shouldn't have been sacked and it was a unbelievably poor appointment to put Sherwood as manager.

                              Waste of a season.
