Ah true. I saw the table with 31 GP instead of 32.

I have to admit that I'm pessimistic about next week's game.

Considering your position and this is Mourinho, do you expect Chelsea to play not to lose? It's really just all about the math for Chelsea at this point, so I'm expecting a defensive battle for this match.

This weekend couldn't have gone better for Aston Villa.

Now onto Sunday. Gotta get it done against Liverpool. Staying above relegation and winning a cup would somehow make this a really successful year for Villa.

I, for one, expect exactly that. A draw is a win when you are this far clear and time is running short.

This is exactly what is going to happen. Draw United, draw Arsenal and we don't even have to win all our remaining games.

Anybody getting excited for the United/Chelsea game I have some bad news for you...

Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread

Worth pointing out however, I think the attitude will be mutual. LVG won't be coming to Stamford Bridge trying to have a shootout, he's much more pragmatic than that.

He will know he doesn't need to beat Chelsea because he doesn't need to try to win the title this season. He knows we are dangerous even if we are playing like garbage, and that if we manage to hit top speed we are the most dangerous team in the league. And he will know that United have a losing record vs Chelsea since Mourinho's first stint.

United will be just as careful as Chelsea will be, I think 0-0 is the most likely scoreline, with a maximum of 1-1. Should be an interesting game if you like watching good tactical defense though.

Newcastle is lucky they had that 5-match winning streak earlier in the season or they'd be in real danger of going down.

If they lose all their remaining games, which seems likely, they will come very close.

Funny thing is, I think relegation would probably be good for them since Ashley would be more tempted to sell and they could clear out a lot of dead weight.

Which means Pardew going on a winning streak actually harmed the club. That was his parting gift, another guaranteed season of Mike Ashley.

This year has been a weird year for me especially watching LVG manage Man Utd. since I always been a fan of him this also goes with Koeman as well who previously coached Feyenoord. Two of my favorite Dutch managers are in the EPL but coach teams I don't really care for.

If y'all win just do it convincingly enough so Jose thinks it just "Same ol Arsenal" so he'll sell us Petr Cech in the summer and not pull the Demba Ba stunt like last year... 😀

The assistant ref really screwed that offside call on Balotelli.
