So, a few questions for the sake of discussion...

Where does everyone think Leicester will end up on the table at the end of the season?
They'e of course flying high currently at 3rd, and I think everyone agrees that it's inevitable they fall down the table. But, how far will they go?

I'm going to say 12th—at some point they're going to stop scoring so many goals, and during that time I think they'll continue to concede goals.

In a few weeks, this is the order of their upcoming fixtures: Man United, Swansea, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Man City—I don't see them escaping that run with too many points. I think this is where they'll fall back to earth a bit.

If Chelsea do not win against Stoke on Saturday, is Mourinho gone?
There were rumors spreading early this week that despite the result, he'll be out after the Stoke match. If it's only a draw, or even worse, a loss, is he gone? Whether he steps away, he's sacked, or some weird combination of two.

Forget if he should be gone, what do you think will happen?

I don't see Leicester anywhere near relegation this year. I agree that their next few fixtures look daunting but they have collected points early against sides they need to be beating which is crucial. They have beaten WBA, Norwich, Villa and Sunderland already so that is a big boost for them. I would say between 12 and 13 is where they end up. Mid table with Swansea and Stoke around them.

As for Mourinho I think he's there until the end of the season at least. I know Abramovich has bags of money but it would cost a lot of money to sack him. Didn't he JUST sign a new 4 year deal worth £30million or more?

If they do sack him, who would come in? I doubt Pep would come in halfway through a season. Not sure if Ancelotti would even want to go back after getting sacked even after a double winning season. Do they go for a interim manager again like Rafa or Hiddink and then try to sign Simeone or Pep in the summer?

1. I think they're conceding too many goals to have a legitimate shot at continuing to stay near the top of the table. In fact, they are 14th in goals conceded. Yes, they are scoring a lot, but the second they stop scoring so much they will fall back down to earth. Leicester basically goes into every game knowing they have to score multiple goals to stand a shot of winning. They won't be able to consistently score multiple goals against the top sides with good defenses, and I think they'll fall back anywhere from 10th to 12th in the table. Still respectable, but nowhere near third.

2. The only way I see the club firing Mourinho is if they are in the relegation zone near the end of the season. And then, that would only be a panic termination to try and shake things up to avoid going down. But Chelsea are too talented to be in the relegation zone at that point, so Mourinho is not going anywhere. Not to mention, there is no better option out there to replace him with. Though Brendan Rodgers is available....

One thing is for sure, people will overact to the Stoke result regardless of the outcome.

And then, that would only be a panic termination to try and shake things up to avoid going down. But Chelsea are too talented to be in the relegation zone at that point, so Mourinho is not going anywhere. Not to mention, there is no better option out there to replace him with. Though Brendan Rodgers is available....

I wouldn't mind bringing him on in an attacking-consultant type of role.

After the first half I was optimistic but then we just never kicked on. Pedro hits the post, Remy can't keep his balance and Hazard has an effort deflected wide. No luck is coming our way. Mind you, we attack much too slow, just pass it across the oppositions box before going back the way. A perfect example was in the last couple of minutes, Stoke broke with pace and cut us to shreds before a good last man tackle. But we broke with no pace whatsoever and allowed Stoke back into their shape. We need to attack with more intent and speed.

Everybody will be too busy making fun of us to talk about it, but that Remy chance at the end is the entire reason diving exists in the modern game.

That is a stonewall penalty and red card, keeper comes sliding out and misses the ball completely, Remy has to practically tuck his knees into his chest when jumping over and still gets clipped. Because he gets clipped he can't keep his balance and misses the shot.

If Remy goes down that's a penalty and a red card. His reward for staying on his feet? Nothing. He will get a pat on the back from pundits for displaying "grit" and "determination ", but a pat on the back isn't worth any points. Until a ref actually calls a penalty without needing the player to go down first, diving will never go away.

Players dive because they don't get those calls, and because defenders and keepers are allowed to get away with literal murder.
