Some hilarious things in here. Players threatened by their manager's skills and Martin Kelly apparently with some sway, lol.

‘A bit of a weirdo’, apparently. But Frank de Boer can still play – which is said to have offended Palace ‘stars’

I really want them to go down. This amount of incompetence should not be rewarded with further television deal riches.

I also have carved out a massive spot in my heart for all things Ajax—I don't like how they did my boy, Frankie.

        Amateur hour from Palace.

You're supposed to make sure your new manager wins a trophy first, THEN you can hastily fire them.

Southampton at home on Saturday is a massive game. Should Palace lose that as well, their next 3 PL matches after that are Man City away, Man Utd away and Chelsea at home. LOL, good luck with that!

It's just sad that bringing in Hodgson is considered the right move (by some pundits, supporters, etc) because he's a "safe pair of hands" and can steady the ship. They're not in a relegation battle—it's still too early for that.

It's as if the club has already given up on this season and instead of attempting to take the scary step of moving forward, they've decided that another year of just surviving is not one of many items on their list, but the only item on their list.

            Ridiculous.

Someone probably won a ton of cash by taking De Boer as the sack race winner.

De Boer at West Ham would be interesting.

As someone who used to managers in the US big 4 getting 2-3 years, the way the EPL and even the Bundesliga churns through managers seems crazy to me. How do they have the time to put a process into place?

Even worse, Roy Hodgson is no long term solution. Are they hoping to be mediocre and then start over with a different coach next year?

Pretty much. They are hoping he keeps them up and then try again next year. I'm surprised they signed him to a 2 year deal since I doubt he'll be there for the duration. Absolute no long term planning by Steve Parish whatsoever.

It's crazy because de Boer was above Palace's level to begin with. They were lucky to get a manager like that and they proceed to get him almost none of the players he asked for, and then can him after 4 games in which they were largely unlucky, and played some of the most consistent ACTUAL football they've played in the Prem in a very long time.

I don't care where he ends up at next—I'm going to be pulling for the guy. He was saddled with a **** owner, and players who seemingly wanted him to go. Deserves a better chance somewhere.

He was brought in late at Inter and didn't have time before the season to set things up how he'd like, and at Palace they also did not help him succeed. I'm just glad that the focus so far has been on how laughable Palace are not not how much de Boer failed.

Honestly I don't even think the players wanted him to go. The last couple games it looked like they had all bought into his ideas and were legitimately fighting to help implement them.

I'm pretty sure this was 100% the board and nothing else. Which is honestly even more insane.
