Bookie's and media speculation, although MU ideally would do their due diligence and at least inquire on Conte.

      Plus Pogba likes him.
He's an incredible manager who most certainly win wherever he goes next. That's not what I think will stop him from being the choice.

I see the club going a different direction in terms of who they want as "the face" after these last few years, as well as someone who will play a certain way.

I'm not saying Conte shouldn't be considered, he's fantastic—I just don't think he will be.

          Here’s a name I’ve seen floated around:

          Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

I thought Ole was already named caretaker. Is that not official?

It will be interesting to see if they bother spending any money in January. No real sense in spending big (and overpay since it's January) when next year's permanent manager might not fancy them. Unless it is a reasonable transfer to be made, I can't see them doing anything in January in the market.

Unless I’m missing something, I don’t see an official announcement anywhere.

I think Big Sam would be a good fit.

Chris Coleman would be a good hire. But I doubt they touch him because of Sunderland last season. Even though no one could have saved that mess of a club.

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread

Conte's probably the only available manager that could somewhat fix that leaky defense but we canned him mostly because he didn't get along with our board when it came to targets. That would be interesting to see.

As long as it's anyone but Zizou I'll be happy. As a fan, I don't want to see his name dragged through the mud if/when he can't turn it around then.

I wish Real would have pinched Poch. Event though him leaving Spurs would weaken then he'd be a good fit for a rebuild job at United and he'd actually have money to spend.

I agree—I don't see him jumping into that mess.

Caretaker and then heavily recruiting Poch for next year seems incredibly plausible.

Solskjær confirmed as caretaker with Phelan returning as his assistant.
