So he wouldn’t have to deal with the aging and declining stars and dealing with no Ronaldo.

He saw this coming a mile away I promise you that.

Now he can come back in, with fans having seen that a lot of the old guard needs to be replaced, and make big changes this summer without nearly as much backlash as he would have received last summer trying to do the same thing.
