But...I was told Mourinho would be announced as the next manager in the next few days several days ago.

His salary I’m sure will be quite nice, and you can bet he will have a blank check in regards to transfers.

All jokes aside, it's actually pretty wild to see Perez give genuine control to Zizou.Comment

He needed to though because his relationship with CR7 was the main reason he left. Ronaldo never forgave him for not standing by him with all the tax stuff.Comment

It's not often I'd say a manager has been given too much time these days, but this is definitely one of those times.Comment

"But in the short period since I took on the role it unfortunately became clear I would not be able to operate as I intended and was led to believe."
Ah yes the classic "turns out I'm not very good at this job—better quit on my terms now before I look too much like Gary Neville."Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
Great article by the great Jonathan Wilson regarding Solskjær's appointment. Really sums up, in a much better way, the points I've tried to make about the whole situation. Yes, he's done marvelous and it was expected he'd get the position. But, it doesn't mean questions shouldn't be asked.
"But as well as wondering how he will deal with a couple of setbacks it is fair to ask how long he can keep acting less as a manager than as the high priest of Fergianity."
