I imagine we'll hear this name as sacks start to loom over the managers with a slow start, but Sol Campbell has left Macclesfield Town by mutual consent. It appears as though the club are having financial issues, which is what prompted the decision.

This has to be one of the least surprising changes we'll see this season. Yes, it was early, but Watford has shown several times they're not afraid to make a managerial change.Comment

Oh dang Danny Cowley - the man who has been leading Lincoln City since 2016-17, and has brought them from National League mid-table to League One, where they are currently 5th place - has been named the new manager of Huddersfield.Support Local Sports

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
Looks like Bayern fired Niko Kovac. I'm kinda surprised, since they won the double last season, this is clearly a team in transition and they had given Ancelotti a lot more leash before canning him.
It'll be interesting to see if Leipzig, BMG or Dortmund can capitalize, or if Jupp Heynckes comes riding to the rescue again.Comment

Yeah, it also seemed like the players weren't keen on Kovac, it's hard to prove anything, but body language on the pitch always seemed, unhappy.Support Local Sports

As much as I'd like to see them hire the special one, by guess is they'll hire Erik ten Hag after the season is done.Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
It was announced that Nagelsmann was leaving Hoffenheim after one more season only two months after Kovac was hired by Bayern. I can't help but wonder if he did say no either because he already had an agreement with Leipzig even if not formal, or if he just felt he wasn't ready for Bayern and knows he'll inevitably end up there.Comment

In the league no one pays attention to, both Edinburgh clubs fired their manager and are well into their second week of looking for a new one.
Now Warnock's name is popping up for both jobs. Felix Magath was being talked about for Hearts.
Current favorites are Jack Ross for Hibs and the current interim, Austin MacPhee, for Hearts.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 11-12-2019, 06:11 PM.Comment
