I mean, from what I've read, he seemed to have rebuilt himself fairly well with the Holland National Team, much in the same way that Roberto Martinez has repaired his reputation with Belgium. More and more it's looking like the post-Moyes Everton issues aren't managerial related, but potentially higher up in the organization than that.

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
If he thought working with Everton management was bad, wait til he gets a load of Barcelona. It's like the same problems only multiplied.
He's a Barca guy though, so maybe it'll work. Just think they should be aiming a bit higher...Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
To be fair, Martinez inherited a once in a lifetime generation o Belgium talent. Hazard, KDB, Kompany, Lukaku, etc...
There were reports that Barca players didn't "respect" Quotien because he hadn't accomplished much as a player or manager by the way of trophies. I guess Koemen checks that box.Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
I don't know that he thought it was bad, but it seems like the managers who have left have done better after they left. Which makes it seem more like Everton have the issues not the managers, but who really knows.
I think they'd like to aim higher, but I also think with elections on the horizon, and the general feel around the club, not many managers of a higher calibre would accept a one year deal with a one year option.Support Local Sports

What was all but confirmed, is now confirmed, Quique Setien has been relieved of his duties as first team manager at Barcelona. Barcelona also cite a "wide ranging restructuring of the first team" all the dead weight being let go is what I assume that means.Support Local Sports

Mostly a joke, Liverpool won't pay the wages he probably still wants. We'd be looking for him on a bargain 2 year deal.Comment

His absolutely lethal finishing ability, in that current squad, would also be borderline cheating.Last edited by Krebstar; 08-19-2020, 12:18 PM.Comment
