The mispronounced teams reminded me of this video I saw a few weeks back.

Here is the youtube link. I have no idea how to make the video appear in my post.

The Spurs links, rumors, rumblings were so stupid. It was never going to happen.

Daniel Levy looking at an attack minded manager. Ajax's Erik ten Hag in pole position if rumors are to be believed.

Honestly I'm surprised they didn't hire him 2 seasons ago. I thought we might get another season with him, due to him having an out in his deal after his 3rd season. Looks like Leipzig will get 25-30 M as a transfer fee, which is the most paid by any team for a coach.

If the rumors are to be relieved, Jesse Marsch will make the jump over from Salzburg.

No idea where the big media companies get information from. I know they go for click bait but every Spurs reporter has been saying for 4 days now Nagelsmann and Rodgers will not happen but those names keep showing up in media links.

the answer was well-known, but i assume the reports came because Levy made a call

which in his defense, even if you can already sus the answer as no, seems wrong to not try.

Looks like Marsch is indeed going to take over at Leipzig.

I suppose Erik ten Hag is the most logical choice for Spurs now?

Nah, just extended his contract until 2023.

Plus, I’d say this no matter who I supported, I think his next move will be to a club bigger than Spurs.

According to Fabrizio, this does not take ten Hag out of the running. It was a club option picked up, not ten Hag extending by his choice. I think Spurs will still move on though since Levy doesn't want to pay a fee.

ten Hag hasn't been tested at a level higher than Ajax. Coming to Spurs would have been a logical step for him. Then move up to a bigger club if he's successful. Much like Poch did.

Obviously Fabrizio knows more than we do, but exactly what you said, I think it does take him out of the running as the price just massively went up. Fabrizo is just covering his ***, or previous reporting (if he originally reported the interest).

As for "bigger club"—I should be more clear. I think he's often been seen as someone a bigger club would take a shot at, and I'm sure he knows that. I don't think bigger clubs are waiting to see him tested, necessarily.

He's put in several years at Ajax, compared to someone like Bosz who was with them for a single season before moving. I think bigger clubs have seen enough of him and it's now more of a when, not if type of situation.

What Spurs should be focusing on is bringing in someone who can foreseeably stay for several years. If they brought in ten Hag, he could be gone in a year, or two at the most to his bigger job. Spurs need to bring in someone more at the level of Poch who they can expect to stay for as long as he did.

They should try and steal Howe away from Celtic.

I agree, that is why I am hoping it is someone not big name. I wouldn't mind giving Potter a shot to see what his style looks like with better players. Or someone who is currently at a midtable side in one of the top teams that shows potential.

Spurs rebuild is going to take 2-3 years minimum and that's if all the targets are hit in the windows and current key players stay. Getting someone in who is going to leave right away will do nothing.
