Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread

Neymar had a similar incident back when he was at Santos, at like 17 or 18 years of age.

The resulting disciplinary action was, of course, to fire the manager for going against Neymar's wishes and having a senior player take the penalty.

Another Brazilian coach in the league said at the time something along the lines of "we are creating a monster".

Neymar has literally been like this from the beginning, and he's constantly surrounded by people who validate him and make his attitude worse.

Cavani will get shipped off for all this, and possibly Emery too.

It's good to see Weston McKinnie getting a nice run of playing time lately for Schalke. Is there any legit reason he shouldn't get called in for the USMNT WCQ's the next couple weeks? If you're starting and playing fairly well in Bundesliga, you're good enough to get the call.

Why on earth would Bruce Arena call some random kid from some team nobody has ever heard of, when world class players like Dax McCarty, Jermaine Jones and Chris Pontius are available?

I’m excited to see who he calls up for injured Morris.

Will it be Wondo? Wondolowski? Possibly Wondo? Maybe Wondo?

I remember a time when Wondo was dominating the MLS and people were begging for him to get called up to the NT. Salad days.

It was always MLS fans though.

Wondo has never at any point been one of the best 3-4 US forwards to warrant being called up over other players.

Political turmoil in Spain causing severe problems as Barca and Las Palmas match will play behind closed doors at Camp Nou. The state of Catalan is voting today to declare independence from Spain and violent protests are taking place in the city of Barcelona.

I wish they mic'd players up like in the NBA. Would give us fans a more "intimate" feel for the game considering our vantage point is usually so high and far away.

Just now catching up on some things from the weekend.

Is there a team easier to dislike right now than PSG? I don't know if there is.

Outside of rivals (Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham) I really don't think I dislike any team as much as PSG. I really think it's Neymar as last season I don't remember disliking PSG but I hated Barca.

Neymar has always been incredibly easy to dislike, his attitude is pretty bad in general.

Hopefully he doesn’t rub off on Mbappe too much though, he seems like a good kid but having Neymar as a mentor could sour his great attitude.
