Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread

The doors to the bar I watched the final at yesterday opened at 10:30 and there was quite a line to get in at that point. Was in line behind 3 Fulham supporters and ended up sitting at the table next to them. It was a lot of fun watching their game with them. Afterwards they ordered a bottle of champagne.

Steven Gerrard learned first hand that SPL officiating is questionable at best...sometimes down right laughable.

Still a 1-1 draw in a game where they played down a man for over 80 minutes is a win in my book.

Aberdeen got one shot on target, the late goal that sealed a point for them.

And McInness has the gall to say that Aberdeen deserved to win all three points today...ROFLcopter

ESPN secured the Serie A rights, Match of the week on ESPN/ESPN2, with the other 300+ matches on ESPN+

I've enjoyed ESPN+ since subscribing so I'm happy to see it pay off so I can watch a bunch of 3-defender formations

Yeah I caved for the community shield and was going to cancel it until I saw the announcement today. I hope they get the French League somehow too.

Saw that they outbid Turner Sports.

The Summer of Serie A rolls on.

Think I'm going to dump Hulu and pick up ESPN+. Serie A, Carabao Cup, and Championship might be worth the 5 bucks a month alone.

If they get the French League, ESPN+ would be my new favorite streaming app.

Not a bad deal for 4.99 a month.

They also have the MLS as well.

La Liga to play league matches in USA & Canada.

I hope all the players and fans boycott this all the way to Xavi defending the purity of football.

Was watching the Bundesliga highlights from the weekend last night. Kingsley Coman looked absolutely amazing for Bayern in the first half...and then got injured by a pretty ridiculous tackle. Same ankle he had surgery on about a half year ago.

Bayern will now have to somehow soldier on by starting upstart winger Arjen Robben, who scored 2 goals after he came in for Coman.

Another big highlight was the last-minute win for Wolfsburg over last year's runners up, Schalke (who were down to 10 men). I want to see them fight for European spots this season.

I don't watch a lot of German football but I was flipping through the channels and watched a replay of the Dortmund/Leipzig match. Witsel to blame for Leipzig's 1st minute goal but makes up for it with a sweet bicycle kick. New captain Marco Reus had a stellar game.

That's really funny, I was just coming into this thread to ask people how they've liked ESPN's coverage so far.

I have been liking it when it works but my ESPN app lags often, not sure why.

I'm still trying to pick a team, I like to watch as many games as possible and then decide. So far Lazio appeal to me.

I love it except the iPad app sucks compared to the iPhone app & actual website.
