Must have been spending time with Bale on the golf course.

I used to think that too but after I saw the thing where he went to visit Camp Nou for the first time I realized he's actually just a massive soccer fan. Dude just really loves the sport, not just Barca, he freaks out any time there is a good play even if it's against Barca which is clearly his team.

Definitely over the top some times, but the guy genuinely is obsessed with soccer, which is more than you can say for a lot of commentators.

I've always loved Ray Hudson. It isn't an act or a show, that's just how he is.

I remember him calling a friendly match that took place at Levi's Stadium in SF, and he was about to tell a story about a trip he took to Napa wine country with George Best, and Phil Shoen cut him off to list off some sort of stat about the actual match, and when Phil tried to steer it back Ray refused to tell the story. Phil was begging him, but Ray was like nah. That was like 5 years ago and I still remember it. Was such a funny moment. Phil deserved it lol.

Yeah I met him a couple of times when he was DC United’s coach. Just a generally energetic guy. I like him & Schoen as commentators on BeIn.

Yeah I mean don’t get me wrong, he’s definitely a bit much sometimes and some of the stuff he says is over the top, but I always just think about that video of him seeing Camp Nou for the first time and he’s literally just crying.

Most English commentators are so bland and boring, then you have Martin Tyler possibly falling asleep mid-game. Still a few good ones of course but a lot of them are pretty meh.

Like, Ray is just a massive soccer fan who gets to commentate his favorite sport (and favorite team) for a living. Dude is just out here living his dream.

At half I thought Leipzig was screwed, especially in front of the yellow wall. Happy to get 1 point out of it.

Hopefully Leipzig can take care of business against a hot Augsburg side and head into the break atop the Bundesliga.

ZIRKZEE!!! The 18 year-old comes on for Coutinho in the 90th minute and immediately scores the winner! Then a couple moments later Gnabry puts in a rebound off his original shot and makes it 3-1.

Just when you thought Bayern would only get 1, they clutch it and walk away with 3.

Yeah that was a good result for Leipzig.l, especially in those kind of conditions. Dortmund gifted those first two goals to Timo but the one off the terrible Burki header wasn’t an easy finish and he made it look pedestrian. The third goal by Shtick was a nice finish too. It’s tough to get your foot over the ball that quickly but he finished it well. He looks so much more confident than his Roma days.

Everyone who gains an interest in finding a Bundesliga team always gravitates towards Dortmund or Bayern but Leipzig is a great team to follow. Excellent scouting department, two good managers in recent years and they’re making their own history

This year Nagelsmann has turned the offense up to 11. They've kept the D but are now scoring just under 3 goals a game, which is fantastic. It's a good time to join the bandwagon too, since while Leipzig has been successful, they haven't won the Bundesliga yet.

Rooting for Dortmund or Bayern always seemed lame to me. Initially when I gained interest in the Bundesliga, I rooted for Bayer Leverkusen. However, I have a lot of family in Saxony, so when they finally got a team in RB Leipzig, I couldn't pass that up.

Celtic 1-2 Rangers. Huge result for Steven Gerrard. Rangers pull within 2 points of Celtic with a game in hand.
