Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
Nothing I was looking to watch exactly. But when I saw the list of matches today, I figured I could kill some time by watching one or two of them. Couple of them looked like they might have been entertaining.

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
Signed up for a year of premium Peacock and watched a replay of the Chelsea match from Monday.
First thing I noticed right away, streams are not 60fps. This is very disappointing and I immediately canceled my yearly subscription. I'm glad they give you a 7 day free trial.
Just a heads up to anyone on the fence regarding buying this....

For $5/month if it doesn't lag or require constant refreshing, it can spit out 480p at me. But that's most likely built from my past perspective of watching awful streams, or waiting 24 hours to find a decent download of matches while avoiding all spoilers.Comment

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
I regularly watch games that are streamed from someone taking the video from their phone of their TV, (how else do i get my Danish 1st Division fix?) so yeah, definitely not worried about fps.
i am however concerned about their support for dual monitors and if they will continue to hate them or not.Support Local Sports

Hopefully they do a wrap up show after today’s matches because I heard the Palace shootout was nuts. Apparently it went to keepers taking ‘em.

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
In the last few days I repeatedly laughed when I listened to people say he'll be good cover for Kane. Yeah, because if Mourinho doesn't have Kane he can just throw Bale up front and hoof long balls to him like he's done with Moura—that worked out brilliantly last season.
In a way, he fits perfectly into what Mourinho has done at Spurs, which is stay organized and hope a moment of individual brilliance will rescue points. It gives him another player to stick up front isolated and hope they make something happen while the rest of the squad waits.Comment

I'm excited for a large majority of the British media to be shocked to learn he's not at all the same player who left Spurs for Real Madrid.

I have a feeling the transfer had much more to do with Levy than it did with Mou.
Any legit goal scorer they add is good for them.
Legit don’t know what he still has in the tank though or how much he wants to be great again.

It feels like one of those 'ugh, this isn't fair' type of transfers. "You're going to nullify our fullbacks? That's fine, let us introduce you to the passing range and ability of Thiago."
It's just...not fair.Last edited by Krebstar; 09-18-2020, 10:39 AM.Comment
