For Partey, I think he's a victim of several things. First, missing games he shouldn't have by being brought back too early. Second, the players around him and the system he was often put into. It's not a joke that at times Arteta attempted to use him as a one man midfield—he actually did this, multiple times. Last, hype that was never his fault.
He wasn't the kind of player who would come in and necessarily be noticed, except when he was out of the team. His absence in the midfield is heavily noticed, and while he did not have the best season and often tried to do too much (often because he was asked to) I think in the following seasons it will be looked at a great purchase for £45m.
His shooting is painfully, hilariously poor, though. In 23 matches, he took 22 shots on goal—3 were on target. (Willian had 3 on target out of 20 shots in 25 matches, **** me). What should be noted, though, is it's very likely a directive by Arteta. When he arrived, Xhaka's shooting went down as he was told to stop taking shots from range, so Partey isn't just doing that because he feels like it. Most likely some more of Arteta's maths.
As for Willock, Arteta said he'll be back at Arsenal next season, so let's hope that's actually true. Kid found himself up North—still only 21 years old.
