Premier League's site has 8 for Brighton, but I do see 7 listed elsewhere...weird.

What's insanely shocking to me is that Arsenal have only conceded two penalties. Give Arteta a statue for that.

Yeah, I'm not sure why diff sites have different data but i guess I'd trust the EPL site first.

As for the numbers. TBH I'd say it simply more to do with United's defense being so poor most times that when the opposition are in United's box, rarely is anyone actually marking let alone in a position to concede a penalty. lol

I know a lot of fans of probably every team would say this about one of their players, but I genuinely believe nobody gets the short end of the stick from refs more than Zaha.

Idk if he is actually the most fouled player in the league, because based on whenever I've seen him play the numbers probably wouldn't back that up since he straight up just doesn't get fouls called in his favor. There was like a 1 min sequence in this Everton game where he was being double teamed, both defenders grabbing different parts of his body/shirt and trying to straight up just pull him off the ball, one defender kicking his legs. This went on for a good 20 seconds before Zaha gave up and just passed the ball back and stood there looking at the ref, who gave him a hand gesture like "yeah don't worry I got you", but NEVER blew the whistle. He got the ball back about 15 seconds later and it continued.

It was insane, like a good 6 fouls that could have been called in a 1 minute period and the ref didn't even blow the whistle, and this is basically Zaha's every game. I've never seen Zaha play a game where he isn't getting absolutely manhandled the entire time while the ref swallows his whistle.

I can't think of another player in the league that gets this kind of treatment tbh, not on this level anyway.

Not sure if im remembering him correctly, but wasn't he one of the players given heavy criticism for diving really early in his career? Maybe im misremembering.

Maybe? Honestly I can't remember lol. You're talking about his early days at Palace and then United right?

I do know he's gotten criticism for it over the years but typically from what I've seen he largely dives towards the end of games out of frustration.

I don't think it's reputation here though, but who knows.

I’ve gone through the numbers before and if I recall correctly, before Grealish last season, Zaha was king of being fouled for many, many years.

Grealish’s number was insane last year, though.

Okay looked up last season, with two fewer games Grealish was fouled 167 times to Zaha’s 120.

Okay looked a bit more, last time Zaha lead was 16/17 but he’s always near the top.

Yeah. Especially his Palace days. There are a few articles about it after doing a few second search
Wilfried Zaha has responded to being involved in another diving controversy by claiming there is an agenda against him and that people want him banned.

CHRIS SUTTON: I am surprised that Jon Moss was conned by Wilfried Zaha into giving Crystal Palace that late penalty. Zaha's dive was the worst I have seen this season.

The thing is, Grealish despite having a reputation himself gets a ton of calls.

I really do think the number of uncalled fouls on Zaha are higher than anyone else.

Reputation for being handsome as hell with killer calves and great hair? Is that the reputation you speak of?

Haven't been watching, but did someone dare to point where they wanted the ball and get called offside?

OK, just saw pictures. They have got to get this idea out of their heads that this is offside. Literally no one was calling for that situation to be offside. You can't even tell with the lines if he's offside. It's honestly trash and it's happened to basically every team this year.

Yeah exactly. The attacker is simply NOT gaining an unfair advantage if the call is that tight, they just aren't.

Previous calls for VAR were because we had referees calling Vertonghen offside 7 yards inside his own half lmao.
