Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
I think everyone wants Jose sacked ASAP for various reasons. For me, I want to see Kane sold to PSG, Son sent to Germany and let Spurs start a rebuild with a young manager. That seems more fun to me than watching the same core fail over and over again for another 3 years.Current careers:

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
The Doherty transfer made sense if we would switch to a back 3 with WB. We did it in preseason and having Sessegnon/Reguilon on one side with Doherty/Aurier on the other looked good. Same with moving Davies to LCB like he plays for Wales.
A midfield of Lo Celso - Ndombele with Hojberg behind seemed a great fit as well and then Son/Kane up top in a 5-3-2 type system.
Jose tested it a bit in early Europa league games but then it stopped and since then Doherty has been awful and the transfer makes no sense. Easily the worst transfer Spurs have made in a while.
Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Rodon, Vinicius, Hart and Bale have all played roles this season but Doherty is awful.
What do you think happens with Kane?
I know Levy wouldn’t do business with us based off the past stuff with Modric (I wanted him so bad pause) but I really hope you don’t sell him to United.
Kane with Rashford and Greenwood/Martial flanking him and Bruno in behind would be a nightmare.

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
I really can't see Kane staying at Spurs even if they win the Carabao Cup. Glenn Hoddle yesterday was saying that that outcome will determine if he stays or not.
I can't see a league cup triumph being enough to keep hold of him. Top 4 looks like it is slipping away again. Without that, what sort of players are going to want to come to Tottenham? Therefore, enticing Kane to stick it out.
The defense need a total revamp imo. Aurier is so error prone. As previously discussed by otheres, Doherty can only really play well as a wing back. Alderweireld looks like he is done. Dier has been out of favor for weeks and only just returned. Sanchez in and out, not really impressed with him. Rodon is too young to be asked to play week in week out.
Back to Kane, where does he go? I think he stays in the PL full stop. If he can stay relatively healthy he is after Shearer's record. I think his destination is determined after we know where Halaand ends up. If City get him does Kane go to Utd? Does Halaand end up in the PL at all? Then City will surely go all in for him.
What is the asking price for Kane now roughly anyway? Got to be up there.Comment

My guess is he goes to PSG if Mbappe leaves. Kane has said recently he still talks to Poch often and they are great friends.
The Athletic reported Levy is open to selling but not to an English club.Current careers:

Spurs and tbh any halfway decent (and even some crappy PL squads) can attract pretty decent players because of the wage disparity between the PL and rest of the world minus Juve, Barca/Real/Atletico, Bayern, and PSG.
You had a good post about Palace’s players that are going to be out of contract. Someone like Benteke who sucks is on 120k/week and the going rate for average players on mid-lower table sides is 50k/week. That right there is going to attract some players, obviously not the elite level talents but if you do your homework you could end up with a young Mahrez, Kante, etc.... with the right scouting and development.

I have seen £120m is the price for Kane reported by the Athletic but who knows with Levy. Before Poch going to PSG I would have 100% said no way Kane leaves the PL but now I think it’s 50/50 depending how bad he wants to leave.
Just because of the person Kane seems to be towards Spurs, I would rule Chelsea out. That leaves United or City. Levy has a last of not working well with United.
City or PSG makes the most sense imo.Current careers:

City, or Pep moaned about not having the funds to afford Haaland in this COVID environment. He could be blowing smoke and I don’t know his relationship with the agent but if Chelsea don’t get him I hope he goes to Spain.
Just picturing him on City for the next 5 or so years is frightening.

Honestly seems like you guys should have just let Poch stay and do a full rebuild instead of this desperate grab for a trophy.Comment

Funny enough my wife is a long time Tottenham fan (unfortunately) and she doesn't like either of Kane or Son. Don't think she'd be too upset if they left either.

If Poch was in for it, I would have loved that. But it seemed like after the CL run, Poch was as burnt out as most of the squad.
I can see why you wife wouldn’t like Kane. He has changed in recent years. Not nearly as dirty as rival fans say he is but he does a fair share of ****housery that he never used to do.Current careers:

I'll be the first to admit that Levy has made some great decisions in the past, but I feel that he absolutely botched this one, and if reports are true, getting Mourinho had been something he'd wanted to do for years.Comment

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
You don’t need reports for that. Levy said it during the Amazon doc on camera. Jose was one of two managers he has always wanted. He saw Jose as his missing piece to win a title since Levy thought he had the stadium and squad already. Just needed a top class manager.Current careers:

Her favorite Spurs players have been Bale, Modric, Sissoko, Vertonghen and every single goalkeeper. So I guess draw from that what you will.Comment

He's also become wayyyy more of a diver than he used to be, same with Son, I'd say that's the majority of the reason she doesn't like Kane now although she never really liked him that much to begin with.

She sounds smart, not sure why she married a Chelsea fan. [emoji2]
Vertoghen, Lloris, Sissoko and Dembele were my favorites. Sadly, I think the last two will be gone within a year.Current careers:
