Now that CL is done. Do anyone Liverpool fans think top 4 is still possible or do you see the team falling apart to finish the year?

Of course top 4 is still possible. Especially now that the sole focus is the league. 4 points off 3rd and a bunch of the other top 4 candidates play each other (West Ham still plays both Leicester and Chelsea), so there are guaranteed dropped points everywhere around them.
Leeds
Newcastle
Man U
Southampton
West Brom
Burnley
Palace
I’ll be disappointed if they don’t finish top 4 tbh.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 04-14-2021, 06:25 PM.Comment

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
Son I agree with. He has been worse about it since Jose arrived so I'm not sure if that is connected in some way or just Son trying to change with the league.
Kane I think gets too much attention for it. He dives but most of the time he is doing it to win a free kick to hold up play like most big strikers do. I remember when Ian Wright praised him last year for his ability to hold up the ball and draw a foul to slow the game down and win Spurs a FK. I have no issue with that and going down easy, if the ref calls it then so be it.
It's the diving when there is zero contact that bugs me the most. I hope VAR is involved more on those type of calls.
Of course it's going to be a hard sell to a Spurs fan that Kane is actually kind of a cheater, even within the context of lots of footballers being cheaters, but it is what it is.
Also Ian Wright praising an English player for something that non-English players regularly get slandered for isn't really a good example haha. Hazard got fouled way more often than Kane does and still got called a diver because of his ability to win fouls with his ball control. Pretty sure Wright has actually written an article about diving where he names both Harry Kane and Son.
Anyway, I do agree though that if refs are still calling dives as legitimate fouls, there's no reason not to do it.Comment

Lmao
I actually like Ian Wright, think that one video back in the day of him meeting a former mentor he had been told was dead got me pretty good.Comment

LOL at Ndombele. Embellishment really pisses me off. It is just commonplace in the league now. Players trying to get players booked. It's worse than ever now.Comment

I'm convinced Jose is telling players to do this. At first I thought incidental elbow to the throat but then the replay shows there was no swing. Just pathetic. Almost like the passing today..Current careers:

Hojbjerg's early yellow card is hindering them in midfield. He's hesitant now getting close to Rodriguez. He's had several shots already.Comment

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
The problem with Jose changing the formation all the time is players look confused when they receive the ball. There is no fluid movement or quick passes. Everyone has to look up to find out where the teammates are.Current careers:
