Saw this on social media that made me laugh:

Congratulations to Man Utd. The only team to be knocked out of the Champions league, Europa league and the European Super league all in the same season. The only silverware Maguire has got since leaving Leicester has been a pair of handcuffs.

Some of the comments from Savage/Scholes etc. were unreal tbh.

The disrespect they were showing to Villarreal just made it better when United lost.

          Penalty to Brentford. 1-0.

Edit: What a counter attack. 2-0 Brentford.

            The Bees!

Love it. Well run, owned by a supporter, won’t bankrupt the club trying to stay up.

Hey sorry, just saw this. I've been kind of hard on Ole because of his in game management or lack thereof but I think he deserves more time, especially if Woodward is gone. Without Ed in the way, this summer is a mammoth one to see who they get. If they go into next season with no major improvements, it's Ole's last season easily because they overachieved this year in my mind.

As for Europa. I don’t care that they lost but I fully expected them to. Had trap written all over it and the team were going through the motions. Pogba is still a big problem on this club and I honestly think his presence hurts more than helps whenever he’s in that mopey stroll around the pitch mood instead of taking the game by the throat. That’s on Ole in my mind. The goal was always champions league regardless but a trophy certainly would be nice just for the club to believe Ole can accomplish something. Didn’t help Jose though to propel further success at United after winning really so there’s that. 2nd place is not an achievement in Manchester. Players seem to like playing for Ole but I’m not sure he can take that next step to be the United of old. I could think of a good 4-5 managers in the EPL alone that would demand more though as a United boss.

Is he staying another year? I'm always surprised that he's still there, and will be even more surprised if he's there next year, also.

I can’t see them replacing him right now to be honest.

Maybe one year they’ll actually watch the tapes of him at Juve and for France where they surrounded him with midfielders that could run.

All the talk of Rice to Chelsea when Rice to United is probably the best fit.

Pogba with France is a big fish in a pool of other big fish. Pogba in United is a big fish with many “gee I wish I were a cool big fish too” kind of players so Pogba has no one to really look up to and learn from/be kept in line from.
He also plays way too far back in the midfield to be successful there, especially with Bruno on the club. One has to go.

Lord Bendtner has announced his retirement.

He will be fondly remembered most for drunkenly humping a taxi in Copenhagen.

Oh, Bendtner. Truly one of Arsenal’s greatest wingers. Striker? No, but he was pure magic on the right wing.

I mean he sort of turned himself into a meme, but there was a period of time where Bendtner was one of the most dangerous attackers in international football. His form for Denmark was nuts, for like a pretty long time until he decided he didn't care anymore.

Honestly it was kind of bad form by me to make that joke. He has dealt with a couple different addictions.

He was also our pre-Giroud type super sub. Cold come on late in games and be a target on the box. I definitely recall a few late league goals where he came on acted as a “plan B” of sorts.
