“Combative and confrontational”, for those who don’t live in Minnesota, means “utter *******s that no one likes.”
But hey they had their chances.Comment

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
My problem with it is that a manager shouldn’t be calling out players on other teams unless he’s going to call out his own for it. Rashford rolls around a lot, Bruno is the biggest faker in the league, Pogba was telling players to dive...
I agree 80% of players do it and it’s embarrassing but unless Ole is going to call out his guys, he needs to stop calling out others.Current careers:

I understand what you're trying to say, but this just isn't how the world works, nor will it ever work this way, I'd imagine. Sure we'd all love to see it, but the expectation that any manager is gonna come out and call out their own player for diving just isn't a realistic proposition.Support Local Sports

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
I think at this point in VAR’s interpretation by the Prem that managers would probably encourage diving/going down easy behind closed doors.
The reward just outweighs the risk.
I know Chelsea fans use to scream at Hazard for staying on his feet too often. He was always near the top of the list for most fouled but if they counted all the advantages he played through his fouled #’s would have been crazy

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
I called out Rashford as well. The thing though about Son to me that makes it so criminal is that not only did he go down but he stayed down. Not just a few seconds. Minutes. 34th minute it happens.... Play went on. Still down not moving....Pass...pass....through ball...cavani...goal...still down like he was dead....celebrating....still not moving....arguing....still down....review.....still down getting treatment....36th minute......
I mean, it’s one thing to try and win a call. It’s another to act like you are horribly injured , win the call, get up finally, and score minutes later. You’d think he lost an eye there.Yankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York RangersComment

Diving is rewarded far more often than it is punished, no reason to stop diving until they actually start punishing it.
Also Bruno is up there but Son is right there with him. In terms of overall cheating, Kane and Son are pretty easily worse than Fernandes.
Anyway, surely the biggest faker in the league is Alioski?Comment

Pogba wasn't wrong though lol.

Now I 1000000% agree that there really needs to be punishments for cheating and until there is, it will never end.Yankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York RangersComment

Kane I think gets too much attention for it. He dives but most of the time he is doing it to win a free kick to hold up play like most big strikers do. I remember when Ian Wright praised him last year for his ability to hold up the ball and draw a foul to slow the game down and win Spurs a FK. I have no issue with that and going down easy, if the ref calls it then so be it.
It's the diving when there is zero contact that bugs me the most. I hope VAR is involved more on those type of calls.Current careers:
