Our owners are scumbags and won’t spend money this year, that’s why.

Stones looked astonishingly competent but they still need to get off their *** and do something.

Feels like you’re overselling it a bit, though I guess the scumbag part is technically correct.

They’re scumbags for rolling over and not even trying to improve the club, essentially forfeiting any chance at the title before the season even starts. Crying poor over a $5 million difference in valuation for Koulibaly. It’s embarrassing.

Embarrassing is a lil strong JJ. Napoli’s owner is a known hard-*** when it comes to negotiations.

You’re about to wrap up the CB from Sevilla, Kounde. Kid’s really good and was legit great in the Europa League. A lil short for a CB though (5’11).

Forfeiting any chance at the league title? That's a bit dramatic man. They are essentially co-favorites with Liverpool. Well, actually they are relatively comfortable betting favorites over Liverpool, but I don't want to be accused of claiming Liverpool are "underdogs".

Yes, it can't always happen, but that was great defending and is punctuated by the fact that so often in that position a defender backs off and allows a shot to occur.

That was really good play by Fabinho to get back and make the great tackle. However, Werner was really poor on that that with his touch inside. He simply has to drive that more forward and test Alisson. Instead he allowed the defense back into the play.

I’m not going to multiquote because on phone. But as for Brav’s post about the Thiago talk. Yeah it was weird that people were hyping up the performance so much. He wouldn’t have had anything more than a cameo appearance if Chelsea weren’t down a man. It was actually the perfect scenario for him. He doesn’t know the pressing system, but that wasn’t going to matter. It allowed him to just do his thing. He is such a classy player though. Makes everything look simple.

Also, Fabinho’s performance wasn’t really being downplayed. Everyone mentioned how well he played. It was like 90/10 Fab/Mane on MOTM sentiments from Liverpool fans. Going in I thought between him and TAA there would be a mistake, but Fabinho really wrecked most everything on that side. It was fun to watch.

It’s just mad annoying when you get the reputable beat writers like Sam Lee talking about how we’re gonna be going gung-ho on the transfer market to keep Pep here, and it’s a huge dud. Ferran and Ake are fine, but to go from potentially getting Messi to the potential of no further signings, with the CB depth issue still prevalent, is disappointing.

Totally agree. I reckon he would have played the last 10-15 minutes if it was 11v11. As you said, it gave him a full half to get accustomed to the system.

I do agree with Brav, how he did not get a yellow card is beyond me. Held my breath that a 2nd penalty wasn't awarded late on by him again.

Thiago annoying Brav on his debut is honestly the cherry on top of that transfer.

Spurs Carabao Cup match with Leyton Orient today is called off because ~14 Leyton players/staff tested positive for Covid-19.

They’re trying to figure out if it can be replayed or if Spurs get a bye until the next round.

The 4th round takes place next week and has already been drawn. I think you unfortunately have to tell Leyton that they're out.

Didn't a United player also test positive, Mykaterain or how ever you spell it. Hopefully more players don't start testing positive so the season doesn't get shut down again.

Spurs' schedule just got a bit less insane.

David Moyes and two others from West Ham tested positive.
