I didn't realize that is what exactly happened there. You can clearly see he is not even aware of his surroundings and stops Shaw from clearing the ball, madness right there LOL!

I feel like he's always had a bit of the recklessness masquerading as immense quality about him, which tends to happen with English players.

It's the Scott Parker/Mark Noble thing—they're everywhere, all the time, smashing into things, so they're highly noticeable. But being noticeable when defending isn't exactly a good thing.

Shaqiri is now positive for COVID...while he has already travelled with Switzerland. Don’t get me started on how incredibly dumb it is that players will be flying all over the globe and coming back to the their clubs right now.

Especially if they’re playing a friendly. There absolutely should not be friendlies right now.

Yup

A bubble is the only way sports can work IMO.

England sent home Tammy, Chillwell, and Sancho because some of Tammy’s friends threw a surprise birthday party violating the Brits “rule of 6” thing.

While I’m sad that whoever’s idea it was to throw a party didn’t take into account Covid but I’m also happy because they can’t get hurt/infected playing meaningless footy
