100% agree and it pains me because the country has very talent players from a strictly skill standpoint.Comment

They looked like they were about to beat the refs’ *** after the match. Pushing him and followed him down the tunnel.Comment

Re: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022
You’d have to go back like 10 years for this take to be accurate lmao.
Our “ball skills” were not the issue in any of our games, hell our midfield 3 actually completely controlled the midfield in all 3 games including England. A large portion of the current squad plays in Europe, with a handful playing for some of the biggest clubs in the world.
Our current issues are our coach being terrible, and not having an elite goal scorer. Our attack is actually pretty good, but they can’t finish a sandwich and every team we play against knows that, it takes a lot of pressure off their (opposing defensive players) shoulders knowing there isn’t that one guy they really need to worry about.Comment

Not directly related to this WC, but 2026 and worth sharing: https://twitter.com/AtaqueFutbolero/...vbx3M7rwu98LVQ
Translation, Marcelo Bielsa named the Uruguayan NT manager beginning in 2023. One of the most influential managers of this generation, should be interesting to see what he can do with that country's talent.Comment

Re: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022
If I'm reading the playoff bracket correctly, we could see some spicey match ups in the quarterfinals like Spain-Portugal and England-France but now that I've pointed it out, I've probably jinxed it.Comment
