This quarterfinal bracket really underscores the need for more Asian, African, and Concacaf teams....

I'm not counting Morocco out...I half expect them to beat Spain.

We'll likely see more of those nations in 2026 when the field goes from 32 teams to 48.

That’s not going to be a good thing and is just being used to make FIFA more money. Do we really need to see 3 more CONCACAF teams in the field? The reality is that the teams have more players playing in Europe and other superior leagues compared to domestic leagues like MLS.

Some of those teams might be pretty decent. If Jamaica can get some English players and Curacao changed their rules to allow for Dutch players. They may be able to put out a respectful team.

It is about money, of course. No one will dispute that.

Do we need 3 more CONCACAF nations? No. But will it do some good for those 3? Probably.

Italy, Chile, Columbia, Peru, Sweden, Scotland etc being added to this year's tournament wouldn't be a bad thing in my book.

Yeah on one hand it would be cool for some of those smaller countries that have never qualified before but some of these Federations like CONCACAF & CONMEBOL don’t need any additional slots
