Palace are cowards but they got their point, fair enough.

Also, the amount of clutching and grabbing they're letting go makes this feel like the dead puck era of the NHL.

Do you want it like this, or like in La Liga where they call penalties when a guy's hand barely grazes against another player's neck? I would rather they just allow play to flow.

I would like the game to be called in a way where when a player is clearly restricted it’s a foul. Like it should be.

I’ll say it until I’m blue in the face. If you want that, step one is to start carding guys for feigning or going down way too easy. It’s nearly impossible to figure out who’s hurt, who’s fouled, and who’s faking it. Zero integrity right now.

They'll never do that, which is why I'm in favor of more physicality. Calling all of those infringement fouls, where a guy goes to ground the instant they feel any contact, is the normal we've been dealing with years and years now. And it sucks.

I think what I miss the most is players just getting up and getting on with it. No one really plays through any contact because the reward outweighs the risk. Nunez deserved to be sent off but the way Anderson fell was dramatic as hell. I get it though, he had to sell it.

100% agreed. To be honest, I’m in favor of a few things being missed, even if egregious, because it’s much better than every slight bit of contact being whistled, looked at, scrutinized, etc.

The game has changed from battling your way to a goal to win yourself a foul.

Nope. No one plays through anymore. In the womens game they still do. Mens pro leagues they only peak at the referees and continue staying down even if no call ever gets made. It’s nuts.

yeah if refs would call it when people played through there'd be more incentive to play through, as it stands though, it's just kind of a ludicrous proposition from a game theory perspective.

ive linked it here a million times so im not gonna go find it again, but there was that clip from MNF before Gary Neville went off the rails where he and Cara were asking Howard Webb if hes ever seen a penalty get called without the attacker having to go to ground and Webb couldn't answer the question lol.

Mike Dean has admitted he made a mistake last weekend, but nothing will change this weekend.

Matheus Nunes looks like such a baller already.

Wolves' playing with an All-Portuguese front 6.

Anyone know when the full match replays are available on Peacock?

Can't watch Arsenal today live--and will watch full replay, if it's available within a reasonable amount of time (without knowing result).
